Agreed on the Redline, one of the ugliest out new cars out there, and built just as poorly as it looks. Have you seen the Ion's interior, its even worse than the exterior.

Is it the one with the gauge cluster in the center instead of behind the wheel?

Except for the seats, they're really nice.... wish I had seats like that. to bad the car doesn't need them becasue you can't pull enough G's to use the support they give.

my ex g/f had an ION. i personally think the Quad Coupe has a very nice looking nose. and the "Access Doors" are very conveinient. the interior however, is the same as all other gm's, even caddys. ceap materials, drab colors/textures, poor fit/finnish, very unsupportive seats( i couldnt be comfortable driving it more than 15 minutes. the seating position was at an awkward position, and im not tall or short. im about average, 5'10"

ill just stick with my rice burner

with the exception of A/C and a CD player, you feel like youre getting into a 17 year old honda. honda was good quality then, as it is now dont get me wrong, but honda has made leaps and bounds to get where it is today.

Doesnt look like a Civic to me. It looks more like the Toyota Matrix. The Cobalt headlight doesnt even come close to 04 Civics' headlight look-alike.

Dont confuse yourself. Sure both the Cobalt and the 04 has the headlights pointed outwards. But the 04 headlight isnt as big as the Cobalt. The Matrix is more similar to the Cobalt..pointed outwards and bigger in diameter.

Here's a real life picture of the Cobalt. I do hope you notice how big the headlight is compared to the 04 Civic.

C'mon, can't you just tell from my sig that the 04 Civics has a tiny headlight and its obviously longer. That is why I said "it doesnt come close" and compared the Cobalt to Matrix.

WOW! This Cobalt really looks like a Civic

i don't think it looks that bad

but I do drive a gti... and most people don't like hatches... so maybe i have different taste.

THe new c6 vette is pretty decent, and with gm trying to play catch up, I almost have faith that this car wont suck as much as their older stuff.

y'know some people say that immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but this is a disgrace and a slap in the face to all of us who own hondas! i cannot stand it when these f***ing retaded domestic companies coem up with a new design only to show the world that the best they can do is rip off an excellent car companies proven design! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I HATE DOMESTICS I HATE DOMESTICS I HATE DOMESTICS HONDA FOREVER! but also to drive my point home even further about domestic manufacturers trying to copy other peoples' designs: a while ago chevy was about one step away from putting a a malibu ss with a prelude motor into production but i think that time they actually asked for honda's permission to use the engine. i read about that in scc

Calm down there spaz. Why would Chevy go from a big V6 to a tiny 4 cylinder? The "SS" cars seem to be getting the supercharged 3.8L V6.

I dont know why this discussion is bashing GM and its designers. Maybe we should bash Honda designers because they did take the trunk style of the 4-door Focus. Oh wait, no one on this site probably wants to hear that, because I am comparing a "domestic" with an "import," and comparing Honda and Ford, because supposedly the 2 companies are in different leagues. Pot kettle black what?? Maybe we should look at 2 other companies, Toyota and Mazda.
Corolla

Mazda 6

You make the call.

Look, I think everyone is over-reacting. Unless a company wants to risk millions of dollars by trying something new and completely bizarre with their front end/rear end etc. there will be recycled ideas. Simple as that, Id like to see one of you guys draw a front end or rear end that has no resemblance to anything that was ever put on the market.

PS. the tailights of the Corolla and the Mazda 6 look pretty different to me
