Stock SRT-4 VS 'Vic HB GSR-T
I was about to buy one early May this year... I had the downpayment (5k) two trade in vehicles... Integra GSR with b20vtec swap(my baby) and my daily driver CRX. Then I met this awesome girl that became my g/f and everything changed. I kind of hate the Neon "egg" body, but out of the box they do 13.9... My teg runs low 13s high 12s. End results, kept my imports.
What, the srt? How about... Larger FMIC, Stage2 with turbo toys, 3"Exhaustdepot exhaust with 3" o2 sensor housing/downpipe, decent bc, agp cai, msd coil/wires, and maybe mopar sts with booger bushings as well as hks ssq bov with insert removed to sound like RFL... That would easily devour something.
That is not an ordinary rabbit tis the most foul cruel beast

dude that civic walked all over that Srt-4.......
cool to bad if the guy had brains he just up the PSI, which you can do on the stock version with stock internals. That would = bye bye hatch!

dollar spring mod and home made b/c spiking at 18psi to redline would have been a different race. I've ran a stock one before they don't impress me. I drove a 340hp 380ft lbs one, that was insane.
It sounded like this Left click
Can your car do that?
I'm just showing people how these cars react with bolt on mods. Great car, but needs a more bulky look like an EVO. If you kids didn't know, in the near future Mitsu motors, dodge, and hyundai will be getting together to build a vehicle. Can't wait...

i love civics but srt-4's are fast sure the civic won that race but it was a stock srt-4 theres a guy in my town that just ran a 12.60 at 116MPH in his srt-4 and all he has is a new injen air intake and took the boost from 12 1/2 to about 17......... oh and did i mention that if he blows if from too much boost the car has another 60,000 miles left on the powertrain warrenty all he has todo is take of the boost controller when he blows the engine and he gets a new on..... does that civic have that option????
'92 Civic HB... no engine, no interior = $3k
jdm b18c = $4k
BIG turbo = $4k
Powered by VTECH stickers = $20
Total Price = $11,020.00
Proud to spank a $21k Neon with 2k in mods = Priceless.
Having a new car isn't the point. It's having a fast car, capable of doing things my first video shows. Which concludes why I kept my 'teg.

Oh, and btw... 12.6 is
stock. More like 13.9-14.1 stock, being a good driver. 12.6 on stock turbo with goodies is possible on slicks. SRT stock steelies get no traction. Trust me, I know more about the Dodge Neon SRT-4 than most people.

Click pause 30 seconds into the video. He's at most 2 cars, the srt doesn't slam on the brakes. If they would have kept going 4th Gear would have raped him bad. 3rd gear in the srt4 is the strongest, the civic has more top end since all hondas create their power through acceleration which is why us import geeks rev high. Which simply means at top of 4th gear in the 'vic gsr-t would have been bye bye neon. Believe me, join srtforums.com if you don't. Hang out with the guys, test drive their cars. Then race them with your built b20vtec (if you have one)

turbos don't like restrictive exhausts, even tho the stock is mufflerless it's a crappy design. That by itself frees up more than you'd believe on that typical car. Max on stock internals is spike at 19psi i believe but it drops at redline. Sad our engines don't give us eye popping hp on bolt ons.
