Check out the new Specs for the Scion tC.
I have seen these cars up close and they are not a bad design.
They basically use the new camary motor and cost less than
a Civic EX with all the goodies...aftermarket parts will swamp this car
and I can see TRD getting involved with their superchargers factory
install so warrenty is not voided / C.A.R.B. Legal with only 4lbs/psi of boost
and this thing will easily push 220 HP 225 TQ
What do you all think?

Ignition system Electronic with Direct Ignition System (DIS)

Torque 163 lb.-ft. @ 4,000 rpm

I'm all about these cars. If I had money right now I might even look into buying one. I wouldn't get rid of the civic since it's paid for but the TC would be a nice addition to the parking lot.

scion tc TRD SUPERCHARGER
I've been in the arcade these past few months..but I just found this scion.

the only thing I don't really like about the scion is the way the sunroof
is.

When I bought my 2001 EX in 2000 I had to wait about 3 months and then
the car was at a dealership 200 miles away.
They put it on a truck and brought it to me... I was told it was the 2nd or third honda in nighthawk black Pearl and a manual shifter.
All they had in time was Automatics across the whole state with that color.
for those who actually care the TC gets awful gas mileage. (22city 30hw) for me thats a huge deciding factor, I'm happy that I avg 40mpg in my 02 ex cpe. especially when gas prices keep going up. I for one think it won't hurt civic sales becuz of this. Though it may make a small dent in Si or rsx sales though.

I dont know if there is any effect on Honda sales. But Toyota reached the $1Billion mark for sales. A combined sales by Pontiac, Chrysler, and Ford couldn't even reach $1Bil. Toyota covers the whole field from Gen-X, Gen-Y and whatever the other Gen's are
im with ^. i think subject has been stabbed to death.

is.
That's not even a Sunroof, it's a Glassroof.
Its a wait for a tC. Of course, the official rollout is not until October. When new cars for the following year usually gets introduced.

[input=my2cents] Technology marches on: faster, cheaper cars are already in pre-production. Niche car: the vast majority of buyers want 4 doors, trunk space, and good fuel economy, so sales figures for Honda will not be affected much. If you're thinking of "upgrading" to a Tc because your Civic is now too slow, there are faster cars for only a couple grand more, which you can finance for not much more per monthly payment. And why would you want to take on all of that new debt anyway? Better to wait a few years and get a really fast car with the money you'd be saving by driving a Civic. Displacement envy is a terrible thing. [/input]

There's one BIG problem.... its over 2900 lbs, for such a small car, thats pigish, and its gonna be top heavy because of that roof. I believe the whole sliding panel thing with its mechanism is well over 100 lbs. It can have 160 HP, but if its a pig does it matter? It's gonna need the blower just to get it moving.
for some reason i think the TC is gonna be marketed as a car to "hook up" and all the teenie boppers will be sporting these cars left and right. what fun is it to get a car that was designed to be modified when you can get a car that wasnt designed to be modified (civic) and have some fun.... esspecially performance wise

The Civic is also double wishbones in the rear. Its the front that they changed to Struts. But I think it looks nice. And they are already out. I've seen a few on the road here.
i own a scion tc now i will be the first to tell you that this car is amazing..... looks great...decent power.... rides very smooth.... and its a blast to drive... i cant wait till the supercharger comes out
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

i really don't like them that much. the tc looks like it is all plastic. cheap headlghts, taillights, and interior. plus buying a scion right now is like people who buy srt-4s. they are the fastest peices of crap in their price range; but still pieces of crap.
i will never buy a car under $18,000 when im done with my 'vic (which my parents bought anyway, so i had little choice). Hell i even picked my a/t 01 civic over a m/t '03 corolla S just because the civic is sportier to drive. The corolla you are really high up like a normal car, the civic you are sitting lower. plus the manual on the corolla felt like crap. very cheap clutch, boring gear ratios.
