How did you learn to drive a clutch?
Damn, I must be the only one who learned from the old arcade game,,,,,,, I think it was called Stunt Driver,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the car would stall out, you had to start it and shift the right way and if you messed up it would act like a real car. You had to go through loops and stuff too on the game. Then I jumped in my 1983 renault fuego on off I went without a problem.

I know just giving you a hard time because it isn't that much when you see the word naturally in two sentences one right after the other.

i drove my k20a2 civic home and that was how i learned. i talked to a guy at work about what to do first. stalled oh so many times. my parents didn't know how so i had to teach myself.
Went with my Mom, Dad and girlfriend (who now is my wife) and they had to co-sign for me to purchase a 1984 Subaru Hatchback. It was a base model, 5-speed and it was just labeled "hatchback".
Kinda hard to explain what model it was. Anyway, it was a dull red because it was faded out so I looked like a geek driving around in this orange little Subaru. I had to drive it off the lot, never driving a stick before but by the time I arrived at my girlfriend's house I had it down. I don't think I stalled it once. I actually loved that little car and that thing lasted forever. I finally sold it for like $500 five years later and it still ran great! Sniff...sniff.... I miss my little "Pumpkin".

Then there was a road courses that my dad would trian new military recuits on and we are talking about a re-creation of the worlds most fuked up raods. I would have to navigate both driving forward and backward on these course that were meant for HUM v's, hugh 4X4's and large truck in a tiny toyota mini truck.
All this and I still had trouble shifting smoothly. and if I didn't do it right I got an ear full. Just think Military drill instructor really pissed off.
It made me a better driver though.
I bought a 88 Mustang LX 4-cyl 5-speed....Unfortunately, I didn't know how to drive stick. So I had no choice, but to learn to drive it...otherwise I would have never gotten it home and would have not gotten to work in the morning

For me, I learned how to drive a stick on my dads 82 Toyota pick up when I turned 13. We used to go logging on the weekends in the company's forest. My dad would get out, tell me to get in the drivers side and I'd take off from there on the roads. I learned real quick how to use 4 wheel drive and how to keep myself from getting stuck. When it was time for me to start my driving lessons for my drivers liscense, I had no problems and was my instructors easiest student.

Didn't drive for 3 years till I got my own 91 CRX Si. and I drove it off the lot the day I purchased it. Haven't bought an automtatic since

i never learned from anyone. I actually drive my first 5 speed when i picked my Honda up at the dealership and my friend goes,"do you know how to drive this?" and I was like h all i gotta do i get outa this parking lot without looking like a jackass and were all good. It's been almost 4 years now, and I have only stalled my car about 5 times. HeHe I learned quickly by teaching myself.
i was 15 when i bought my first car(93 civic lx), my dad took me over to a big parking lot by the bmv. i learned fairly quickly, he freakd me out though. he's a military guy so everytime i'd stall or over-rev he'd flip and act like i was a dumbass. eventually i told em just to get out for a couple mins so i could try by myself. got it that way.

i learned on a friends miata. 92 i think. he let me take it for a couple of laps around a parking lot so that i would get the basics. then he got drunk as hell one night and i had to drive home, in his car, so i learned really quick. trial by fire, its the best way to go. lol.
