my top picks personally are A4 and G35 coupe.
both 30-34k
G35 would have more mods,
A4 3.0 would have an insane turbo setup.(much faster than any S4)

Man, in 4 years there will be nicer cars...
Out of that list you have an A4, and not the S4? wtf? Man, It really shouldnt matter what we think... Just get what suits you.
Its good to set goals though... Save up the money, and when its time to decide, do a lot of research.

Just curious? Not trying to hate on you or anything.
I still sometimes wonder how people went from buying a vic, to now thinking of getting a 50k car. Should have bought one from the beginning if you have the money.
1993 Porsche 993 would be on the top if that was my list.
But then again if you factor in insurance and how expensive repairs are going to be I would hold it off. Car might be in the price range but make sure ownership cost is too.
The A4 and the 330i are pretty similar in dimensions compared to the Civic.
Its not that much bigger than the Civic so I wouldn't get them.
Im not a fan of coupes so that crosses out the rest.
I like being in a spacious luxury car with power. Roll in style and kick *** when needed.
I get a feeling you have the same type of taste reading your mods?
This is an option I'm considering at the end of the year.
A E39 (97-03or04 I believe) BMW 540i 6 speed with Sport Package.
You can find these for less than 30K used. Some with around 65K miles for less than 25K. Find a Certified Pre-Owned one at your dealer and you get warranty til 100K miles.
The car is a near 300 horse / 300+ torque V8 monster.
With the sport package you get a sport suspension (firmer and lower) plus some M5 accessories here and there.
Approx. figures are 0-60 in less than 6sec and a 14.0 quarter mile.

G35 coupe. . . not as fast as I had hoped. There was a Stillen SC one at a local meet last Saturday. Was impressive, but you'd still be starting with a $35,000 car, then dropping another $5,000 into it. Why? Just to go faster? Get a freaking C6 Corvette and call it good.
Bimmers? Benz? Only if you want to spend lots of money getting crap fixed on it a couple years down the road. Seriously. . . I don't understand everyone's obsession with these German over-engineered heaps. Sure, they LOOK great. . .they perform well, but be prepared to take it up the cornhole when you want to mod the thing. Then there's the snob factor.
Porsches. . . now we're talking. Except for the fact they're a total pain to work on, I'd sport that in a heartbeat. The handling is superb, and they have a timeless beauty. But would you actually benefit from the handling? If you got one and I found out you never track the thing, I'd call BS and never talk to you again.
SC430? Seriously. . . . girl car, man. Heavy, not that fast, handling is OK. Just a really expensive convertible (not even a roadster, really) with a big BLING factor.
Tell me. . . with a job that'll be paying you almost six figures, what do you plan to DO . . . yes DO with this car you can't decide on?
You know what would really impress me? If someone, sometime, came forth and said "I love to go camping, fishing, off-roading, etc. What should I buy?" I'd say, without a doubt, get a Hummer H1. You can take it out on the BLVD once in a while to pad the ego, but take the thing out and get it DIRTY. . . take it where it doesn't see pavement for days at a time. USE it. Then, if a G35c is a must, buy one for daily use and be done with it.
If you're looking for a track car. For Christ's sake, buy a freakin' Elise. Tune it even more (if that's even possible) and get your track certification. I WANT TO SEE PICTURES FROM A LAPPING DAY, OR AT LEAST AN AUTOCROSS. Use the damn car.
If you're looking for bling. By all means, go the gangsta route. H2, Escalade, whatever. Put on 80-lb per corner chrome spinner rim'z yo, and peemp that ish out. Go big or go home!
Seriously. . . . I'm going to say this one more time:
If anyone. . . ANYONE, wants a real opinion on what they should spend their own money on, they better DAMN WELL tell us what it is they want their new car to do for them. Otherwise, threads like these are a colossal waste of time.

most are to begin with because most of the time they're all blowin smoke anyway. I bet only 1% of these threads actually end with the individual getting the car they claimed to be.
