new cars with less hp than civic?

Well are there any? I'm wondering if there are any brand new cars that have less horsepower than the civic, or are we at the bottom.

Kia rio has 104hp

Lancer has 120hp, which is in the middle.

I'm wondering about this, because there are hundreds of different cars and only a handful that are in the same hp range as the civic. Is it that bad? Even the corolla has more hp.

Yeah I test drove a lancer oz and that thing was slow! Very little torque and had to be floored alot to keep it going.

damn I was thinking about the chevy metro, but I dont think they make that car anymore, or do they? I know that car had less HP then the civic.

jetta TDI has what, like 90hp? mini cooper w/out FI is 115hp, i don't know if they still make the mirage (mitsubishi) but it was around 90-100hp.

and don't forget about the insight, civic hybrid and prius!

yeah but they have like 250 lb*ft of torque so they would feel faster than hell. You could launch in 2nd, and never have to change gears in slow traffic, just leave it in 3rd

and acjones20 is right, tdi's might not have the horsepower but the torque is amazing. what are basic neons and cavaliers putting down these days?

Still, let's not forget that Honda makes the most power out of the least amount of fuel in their engines, so our 124/127 is respectable, and that is a comforting thought.

Somebody needs to allow for power to weight ratio! Our car are light! Some have more HP but weigh more. A v6 Mustang with 190 HP is pretty close to our cars in a race so this whole thread is meaningless.
