Acura NSX
That is mos def gonna be my next car. It is a very reliable, pretty fast, drop dead gorgeous sports car. They are rare, and unique. From the staggered rims, to the flip up headlights (yes, I am talking about the old model), that is my ultimate driving machine. I am looking into trading in for one within a few years. I would do it now, but just bought a house sort of. Any thoughts or opinions on this decision?

I do concur. I really really want to buy one. I dont care what year it is and what not. 91+ is all good. A very respectable car, and a somewhat affordable car now.
NSX is a nice car... just costs wayyyy too much for what you get. In my area, a 1991 NSX goes for about $30,000.
I suggest taking a look at a C5 Corvette. Not as rare, but an all around better performing car. Not to mention, you can find them well below $30,000.

I have driven my fair share of C4 and C5 Corvettes and I would have no problems driving one everyday or on long trips.
$30,000 will get you a 1990-1991 NSX. $30,000 will get you a 2001 or 2002 Corvette.
I like the NSX, I really do. I just can't see paying that much for one.

I saw a used 91 NSX going for high $18s. that is why i was considering it. And I dont believe they produced the NSX in 90. It is true that the NSX is overal a more refined sports car than any corvette on the road now. But the new C6 is supposed to be a drastic imporvement on the C5. Then again, we still have the new NSX in the other corner, still not as fast, but I bet Chevy still hasnt brought up there game enough to level with the NSX as far as overall build quality. Just read the reviews of the 91 NSX on Edmunds.com. They love it. It has a rating of a 9.6 or something. I forget.

wow, these arguments are the greatest. It isnt as fast, costs way more than a vette, and will be older, but the build quality is better-ok, so is this going in a museum? I drive a 1988 vette the other day that drove like a dream. Stop kidding yourself, the NSX is WAY overpriced for what you get. if want something rare, get leprosy or something....
get this, get that, blah: heard too much of it.
back to your topic, the nsx is a very sexy sports machine. i've dreamed about that car too but i think its too far ahead from me because of its cost. if i had the money to buy a used nsx, i would think about a brand new rsx-s or something else since we've expierenced bad things with used cars
. whatever you do in that car than over the vette, your gonna look better in the nsx doing it.

My penis is just like all my posts, very very short

Issues with the NSX....
1. Stock alignments Eat Rear tires (Thanks to a healthy amount of toe in at the back, to keep idiots from spinning the car in turns)
2. Just like if they put a little A on the front.... parts, and I mean any part, will be excessivly expensive.... From Brake pads to clutches think $$$$ (Especially on wear parts)
3. Buying used.... your dealing with a Sports car that is at around 12 years old.... Things are starting to wear out and probably will need to be replaced. (See #2)
So the question isnt really if you can afford to buy one, but rather can you afford to maintain one??

ruined such a nice car. i bet you that fool even got ripped off at the dealer for that nsx too. assuming "ricers" dont know what price to pay or know how things work on a car. Yeah, Corvettes may be better value. But what I love about the NSX is that it still has the vintage 1980's Honda feel and view of the road from the driver's seat that's missing in today's Hondas/Acuras.
At my work, our managers/presidents/vp's bring their MB SL500, SLK 600, Lexus SC430, Jaguar XKRs, and other beautiful cars to work. But the one I drool and lust after most is the red NSX.
If I could afford an NSX, new or used, I probably would be earning more than enough dough to not worry about 'value'. So, overpriced or not, I would love to get my hands on one.
