Took my car to a buddy's shop to get looked at the other day. Its been running really bad. I was talking to him online earlier and he was telling me how it was loosing compression, and all this other stuff. My heart starts to fall b/c I am very broke. He goes on about it for a while and finally tells me he's joking. He had me all messed up. Found out all this time the gap on the spark plugs was off. He said it was running fine. Don't think I'll go back to honda after they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Kept saying they thought it was the EGR valve

Well I took my ride to honda with a problem no one else could figure out and honda found it within 5 min. I still dont go to honda cause they are a ripoff. But yea, you got owned.

on the subject but off the subject will aftermarket spark plugs do anything not "gain" wise but... engine running smoother wise

I'm not sure but probably not much for a factory motor. If you had a lot of mods it might help to spark a little better with a lot of gas in the camber or at really high rpms.
