basically this is300 owner puts "armor all" (tire shiner/lubricant) all over his tires. meaning even on the treads and sidewalls..

I just found out that one of my good friends changed his oil the first time. Well the short version is that he saw the color of the new oil and said that it was not oil. He said that oil is black not clear.
Poor, poor, IS300 and what a way to learn not to put tire detailer on the tread.

Common sense isn't all that common anymore. My ex's mother put oil on her alternator belt because it was making noise and was then surprised when it started smoking. I couldn't help but laugh when she told me.

They put instructions on the bottle for people like this, but it didn't help I guess. Did he put some on his brake pedal? Wouldn't be surprised. It's amazing how little people think these days.
Errr I work at as an assistant manager at Merchants Tire and Auto Repair. And I CAN TELL YOU THAT STUPID **** LIKE THIS happens all times. You don't know how many times we've been blamed of a MIL/CEL when all we did was Change the tires? Or The Classic "I ran into a curb and the tires blew out so it's a defective tires". You guys just dont know how many of those we get in the shop.
Just today one person tried to blame us for her brake pads being worn by doing an oil change? lmao.. sigh It's a frustrating job really... you just see the dumbest people come in.
