should insurance be this high?
my mom is driving a 2005 matrix xr and im driving a 2003 civic ex. now with geico our 6 months is at $2800. and due to my speeding ticket, one no-fault accdient for me, and one for my mom, and one accident where i wrecked myself and no cops involved that isnt included in that amount...geico is cancelling our policy. im just wondering if $2800 was a good amount for our situation. any other alternatives? anything cheaper and still good?
I have a $240 ins. payment with maximum coverage, and a 500 collision deductible and a 100 comprehensive deductible. I have had 1 ticket in 4 years of driving, and nothing else on my record. It all depends on the company, how old you are, if you are male or female, where you live, even if you have a garage that you keep the car in.

i now only have 1 ticket remaining on my insurance, and i just switched companies to lower it from 1900/year to 1200/year.

so far...allstate looks promising with full coverage and 500 deductible at 2,200 and some odd dollars for the 6 months. any other companies...comparable to allstate's reputation can might be a bit cheaper?

well are you under 25? Mine is 750 every six months under my dads name with full coverage. i have state farm and if you are under 25 and get one speeding ticket your insurance doubles. that was the one threat i got from our insurance agency. but if i get one i lose my car anyway.

I am only 21 but every ticket that goes on my record, makes my insurance go up. the insurance I have now is I think the only one that will insure me. Dont quote me on that though.

damn...At some point I'd say screw it and pay others for rides and use public transportation.....
I pay a little over 120/mo. for a leased civic. And I'm in So cal....the policy is the minimum requirement for a leased civic which is 100 300 colision, and a 500 deductable, and uninsured motorist and medical....Only discount I have is good driver, and my mom on the policy since the car is in her name....I'll be adding good student discount soon also.
All this for a 21 year old. Two accidents, one at fault another not.

20 tickets and no suspended license? Holyish. In the state of texas if you get 3 moving violation within a 12 month time span you get your license suspended.
