No, the LT1 will be the one that counts (with a 7.0L, 600 hp V8).
The proposed lineup, eventually, for the C6 is as follows:

Current "base" C6 - 6.0L - 400 hp V8
Z06 - 6.0L - 500 hp V8
LT1/SS/Z07/whatever they eventually call it - 7.0L (427 ci) - 600 hp V8 (supercharged)

^ya but chevy hasnt officially announced that coming out its nicked name the blue devil. I have seen ford put v10's in mustangs doesnt mean its going to come out.
Also it isnt confirmed that the z06 will be 500hp. no one knows if it is.

yeah, its a transverse fiberglass/composite leaf spring for the suspension that reduces the weight of the components. Its still a true independent suspension.

Last thing I read about the "Blue Devil" is from Motor Trend. The said that it is highly unlikely that it will be produced.

It it is produce it will carry a small-block V-8, bored out to 7.0 liters; making 700-725 HP. Weight is around or less than 3,000 lbs.

because it actually made it around the track without breaking down, cant say that for many jaguars. I think that the guy must SUCK at driving too ("...neck and neck with the NSX... "come on man, its a freaking vette). Any guy who hops in a 400 HP beast like that and grabs his kidneys when he hits a rock needs to have his ***** reattached.
