Altezza's
So as much as I here people talking bad about altezzas. They must have been popular at one time. Like now people say "black out them headlights and you will be set." did yall ever say "get a pair of those altezza and your car will be the bomb!" 
I mean come on, when they first came out I know everyone thought they were the shiznit!

I bought some as my second mod and thought they were the best thing ever. Now they're at home in the closet someplace and I can't stand them. Every car from honda to audi has those stupid lights. And now some cars come with them stock.

Rep Power: 0 I had some "EURO" tail lights. They were black housing, so they matched my car pretty well... But I took them off when I got here to California and all of my friends were doggin' on me, haha. But I still think mine looked good. Black is cool, CF is eh... Chrome is whack.

now its pretty much an embarassment to ride around in altezza's? but their are people out their who dont give a ****
to tell you the truth, i'd sport the halo altezza's.. the cf ones on my blue coupe but its pointless cuz i dont wanna hear all that "take out the altezza's ricer!" and plus, i rather spend money on performance parts. but then again, theirs the others saying "no point of performance from a d17".

If there's no point of putting performance parts on a D17 (or just in a Civic), and no point of putting Altezzas on it, then you're forced to do what other think you should do to your car.
The group of people that say don't put Altezzas on it know that you can put your money into something better.
The group of people that say don't fix up a D17 hate their cars - do you hate yours? Some of these people either go for show and slap on Altezzas, or they sell their car, and get the next fastest Civic (RSX).
I say do what you think that suits you. If you're doing it for show, expect to be criticized, loved and hated. If you're doing it for performance know your ****, because the D17 being unworthy for modifying is past tense. But all in all, do it for yourself or something meaningful. The only meaningful stuff people can say are the good compliments you can receive and the honest but respectful things people may say about your ride they don't like.
One thing I've learned is that cars really do get to guy's egos.

Rep Power: 338 When I 1st saw an 03 sedan, I thought it was an 02 with Altezza style tails.... and I find that Honda was trying to head towards that direction.... on the Civic 4 door and the S2000. Not always a good thing......

Rep Power: 292 then maybe the anti-rice move is to get LED tails...I happen to like 'tezzas, but I've had my car about 8 months and am of course new to modding them.

NoLeadEmSoMuch, LED tails could be the new style of taillights since the g35 uses them on their coupes and sedans i believe?
LED lights would light up quicker, look nicer (imo) but cost more then regular bulbs

Rep Power: 0 Whats teh diff between 03 and 04? Im not sure but I have a 03 Canadian SPORT model civic and it has the same lights as the 04s... The only difference between our civic's lights and other 03s is that ours has the before mentioned circle lights while most others have the blocky lights.
