Keep the 7th Gen or Get RSX-S
Keep the 7th Gen or Get RSX-S
I have been trying to figure out weather or not I should keep my Civic and try to do a K20A2 swap or just go ahead and get the RSX-S. Eather way I would need to do some saveing up. I don't really care for hatch backs. I don't know why that is because the RSX is sweet. I really do like my Civic but I am just wondering if it will be worth it. If I do the swamp then I will have it profeshinally installed so as to not mess it up. So, what should I do?
Or, if eather of those don't work out I could turbo it and not worry about it. Just need some advise.
im not too sure how much the swap will run you but if its the same price or cheaper, as trading/selling your car in and buying a new rsx-s i would rather do the swap.
when i sold my vic and purchased the rsx-s, my insurance jumped, trunk space decreased which i really needed cause i go to school out of state, and a few others....the engine is really what your buying, its pretty much a civic with a nice interior....
i dont regret purchasing my S but from my own experience, i think that a sleeper/vic with the k20a2 engine would be sweet. i would have gone that route if i had researched more into it, instead of being impatient....
but either way, you cant go wrong!! Enjoy your I-Vtec!!! cause its Baaaaaadd!!

Yeah, I think that keeping the Civic is going to be the best thing. I don't really need the speed and everything that comes with the RSX-S. I have a bike for that and I can get plenty of that with my Civic. Besides, I have put so much into this things and there is so much about it that I just really like. I think just turboing it will be good enougth. Besides, traiding and getting an RSX-S is not really an option right now. My parents have the title and are not going to give it to me.
No matter how hard I try
Although, if anyone knows if it would be very hard to put a B16 in there let me know. I know there is talk of mounts for the 7thGen. I know it is no K-Series but would prob. be easyer to swap.

If I were you I would get a nice turbo kit for your vic and dont worry about the rsx s. You would save a ton of money, and you would still be fast as hell. Keep the vic man. my .02
dude u get a type s and no vics will race u .... other s's might beat u do to mods
get the swap (maybe a turbo lata) and vics will get smoked by u then rsx's will laugh at you before they royally get there ass3s handed to them

damn, i cant believe no one has bid on that k20 yet. I just saw that he has no feedback but still, 1000 bucks for a complete swap, **** i might get it. If you dont get the swap then i would also say get a wrx instead of the type s. wrx is way faster sounds cooler and is all wheel baby. Good luck in making a choice. You must be getting really confused by know, lol.
The WRX is overrated, first of all. 0-60 in, what, 5.4 seconds? Yeah, but only if you dump the clutch at 5000rpm. No thanks. Say bye-bye to tranny and clutch..
Second, keep in mind that after all is said and done, (if you do the swap), you would have pretty much spent close to what an RSX would have cost.
Personally, I'd do the swap. I've gotten attached to my Civic, and I don't wanna let it go.
