Saw a TC at the gym...
well, I'm not real impressed with it. It looked decent, but it's no successor to the celica IMO. The front looks like some EBAY halo projectors trying to copy a BMW. The front looks real short and stubby...The back looks like a tiburon.
It's a decent car, but not one I'd whoo over.
The celica although somewhat feminine just seemed to be more uniquely styled (at the time it came out) then this new TC that seems to blend in with the crowd.
I'd still like to see some stats on its real life performance though. It will be interesting to see the car mags' review on them...

I like the tC. It doesn't look over-the-top unique like the last Celica, and the xB. It's got the current 'new style' in it, sort of Euro
we'll see in a few years if focusing the market on tuners, really helps. If Scion bombs with lack of sales, other companies will continue producing their cars the regular way, for the whole nation and not on a specific group.
But, it's cool that a company would go out of their way to make a car easier to mod.

Rep Power: 338 the TC comes with a 2.4L from a Camry. 160 crank... and I think maybe 165 lb/ft. TC is well equipted, like all Scions.... 200 crank is only with TRD Supercharger.... there is a company in CA that already has a turbo TC.

Rep Power: 0 the tC has the 2az motor from the 4cylinder camry. it has 160hp and 163tq and weighs 2905lbs. the suspensions are supposebly from the is300. the chassis is from the european Avensis and is 2 times stronger than the is300(notice the weight).

Rep Power: 0 theres other cars that are supercharged with only about 200-205 hp. the tC is a toyota. toyota last forever. i dont see how the prelude is lighter when it weighs more than the tC(2905) by 49 to 137lbs(base'2954'-type sh'3042'). for about the same amount you spend on the prelude, you can buy the 16k tc and use the extra money to mod the car. you'll have one fast tC... but whatever floats your boat.

Rep Power: 338 I only mentioned the Lude b/c it came to mind when thinking about power (200-200) and weight. Direct comparison would be unfair. The tC does offer a lot for the price, but it's a Camry engine. I dont know if that engine was been proven to be good for forced induction but the H22 HAS been proven. Now if they put the 2ZZ or 3S-GTE, that would be different. But as it is, can't be denied that the tC is a pretty good deal. Just cant wait for the streets to be flooded with them so it will be just another "sports" coupe.

I agree,Tc's aren't that great....that's about all i understand of the stuff ya posted.BTW....rap has been in style since tha late 80's son.Don't think Eminem brought it back because he sucks....I bet you like him
I hope Toyota doesn't think the Tc will be a good Celica replacement.
