Dear Johnovan,
I don't have any digital photos I can send, but I can tell you this...
The car was in good shape, and what you have seen on the show was highly exaggerated curtosey of MTV. Basically, there was no significant body damage and the engine and the car had absolutely no problems with it in terms of running. I am quite mechanically saavy and just installed a new exhaust system before the show aired. If you watch the show, or need a copy, which I can sned if you are truely truely interested) you'll notice most of the "damage" was purely aesthetic. If you need, my friends and I also have taped some video footage of the car before the revamp which might interest you as well.
Kepp in touch,
Ezra

Awww he's selling the pimp my ride maxima.... I didn't like that one much but it's still worth at least a couple grand in parts...
pimp to the ride is terrible (but thats why i watch it) xzibit is so dumb. the show is extremely interesting for those 2 reasons though.
the paint jobs look good on the show, but when they did the crx, they didnt paint the bottom of the body kit... kinda shady....
^^ Thats exactly what my sis said. She said that it's sad to see MTV choosing someone to spend 10k+ on and then watching that person turn around and sell it on ebay....
that is one ugly maxima. The show would be cool if they didnt make peoples cars look like ****. There mechanics come up with some pretty dumb *** ideas.
hood rich
absolutly no engine upgrades but like a 17inch monitor and turntables in the back again ghey!

god i'd sell it too. Imagine having to drive that thing around?
what a joke...................

He's right, Xzibit is such a ***. That show is so freakin gay.
"Ok so what do we have with this department?"
"...Well were actually thinking about making it so that the trunk pops open and shoes and a bunch of coat hangers come out."
"....Why?"
"...I dunno"
"...OK! Sounds good. Get to work!"

that show is so dumb like someone said on here ..they have the corniest ideas ...and that max was butt ugly ...that crx looked wack as s!it ... the did not even paint the bottom right i was mad bout that ...they did not even do a engine swap.....i just think they could do a whole ,whole lot better ...but i guess they just trying to prove they can do whatever to a car...
yeah you said it Dizzle thats the show right there ...thats some real s?it ...you can learn from that show...
xibit is a moron
now that that is out of my system
Yea, the f*ck up some of the cars pretty good that go on there
I was thinking about buying a shitbucket and getting on there, so I could turn around a sell if on ebay for like 10-15k
Pure profit off the dumbasses at MTV, thanks retards

I agree with the two past posts that if you want to see guys who have some respect for performance watch Tuner Transformation. They actually swap engines, impove suspension, although there "bling" expert is a retard, he runied a perfectly good Mini Type-S, it is still a millions time better than a show that puts a water thing in the back of a cadillac.

^^ I don't know though, they spend more on MTV so IF I could do the same thing that the dude did, get his car fixed up and sell it (or at least sell the parts), then I would want MTV to do it instead of TT. Although if it were for racing I'd get TT on it.
always good to know you would rather have a kareokee(sp?) machine put in the back of your car instead of a performance boost.
we are talking about your car, which would be ruined. So i guess if you are already looking to unload your car then pmr could work for you.

If they didn't have weird *** 2 color paint w/ flames normal ppl/stupid ricers would be like they didn't do anything to the car. Engine swaps would be nice but only about 5% of the watchers would even know what they were doing. In the end the show is about ratings and if they need to make a car look gay for people to watch it..that's what they'll do.
oh i totally agree with you. it is all about ratings. I am just saying on the premise that one of the shows was about to take my civic and do something to it, i would never in a million years let pimp my ride touch my car. I would much rather have TT do something to the car because I know in the end I would be much more satisfied.
I would let PMR do my car...then strip all the things they put in and sell them...and use the money to do engine mods...simple as that and good all around :-D
Pimp my ride is ALL about show. Again, we have the F&F toi thank for this. The toyota landcruiser actually turned out half decent, but did anyone notice the driver door was crooked? LOL.
TT is a lot better, IMO. But then I also watch TRUCKS, Horsepower TV, and Overhaulin.
I learn a little from each. Gives me "ideas"....
