I don't care WHAT these kids were doing...that's NO reason to F**** up someone's property. That kid, undoubtedly, spent his paychecks on one part at a time, and that cop just ruined that front bumper of a nice car. Nobody has respect for other people anymore.

The issue is that its a public road, and weather or not they think the street is empty it may or may not actually be so. thats the danger. you have know Idea what may happen or what my pop out at you.
SO like I said, Race on a track or dont race at all.

Rep Power: 812 Alot of us are nowhere near a track, nor do we have the time or money to spend. People race on the streets for convenience--that's something that will never stop unfortunately. Racing is dangerous, so think about the car you spent hours fixing up getting into a wreck. I sure wouldn't risk it.

Rep Power: 0 sucks how they messed that car up. Anyone ever been out to the spots where people race like that? you might think its stupid to race (and it is) but its fun as hell to watch, and then roll out when the cops come.

That being said....I KNOW RACING IS STUPID AND DANGEROUS. But I'm still young, dumb, and full of...well...you know the rest,lol. That and AutoX just isn't often enough for me. (once a month won't cut it, IMO)
BTW, aside from the occasional stoplight race, I NEVER PARTICIPATE. I just watch the idiots around here blow engines, drop tranny's, and pop clutches. lol I SWEAR Colorado racers/ricers are RETARDED! I watched a kid that had dumped over 10k into his Teg keep racing with steam coming out of the engine bay. He lost everytime, but he never gave up...that is...until the CAR DID!

It's a big industrial park with a huge 3 lane (one suicide lane) road....I don't think that it's that big of a deal just so long as we aren't hurting anybody. And you saw the cars the pointed out...of course, nothing but Imports, do they think Domestics are out of the race or something?!?!?!? I hate that profiling ****.
Just yesterday I had some ****tard in front of me that would not let me get above 30mph on a 45mph because I WAS CRUISING WITH MY FRIEND! When we passed him he finally honked his horn and was bitching and complaining and all I was trying to do was get to the ****ing mall. This profiling **** is LAME!!!!!

Rep Power: 291 same kind of crackdown is happening over in my city, 43rd and pulaski is being shutdown every weekend, with a paddywagon just waiting for racers now. it will be while before things calm down again. cus seriously, this has happened so many times before...check out some the articles, the "drag bust" happened in 2001 and 2002, 2003 and even now. it will never end. just be safe peoples.
it seriously is addicting though..like i need a fix right now otherwise i might go through withdrawl hahaha...
i have raced before, the area i go to is a desolate industrial park no i repeat no one is walking by at time. but still maintain that safety...i mainly just spectate.

Rep Power: 812 I bet it started getting worse after those movies came out. Biggest mistake to release those. Ever since, I've been seeing wannabe ricers all over. Some will have only tezzas, or an intake, or stickers, but it's the way they drive on the street that scares me.

Rep Power: 0 IMO, this is nothin new. Our parents used to drag race Chevelle's, Novas, El Caminos, Vettes.....It's a new era, new cars, new generation.....and now it's a MAJOR problem. I am not saying that I condone it in any way, shape or form, but this has been going on since the 50's & 60's...Now all of a sudden it's an issue. I don't get it.

Of course they are hurting other driver (who are not stupid enough to street race) since because of those b**ch recklessness, other driver's insurance cost are getting higher as well. Who do you think pays all those claim after all?

Rep Power: 311 we don't have certain spots here really, people just drive around in a few spots and find people to race.. they can't really crackdown on it here, they make us leave the 2 spots where we just kinda hang out though. good idea.. dumb cops. run us off from looking at eachothers cars so we can go out on the street to race eachother. lol.. morons.. it's fun though, it's a weekend habit now
