Audi A6 2.8 Quattro
what do you think about the car? I'm looking at a 1998 model. Its 200 hp and 207 ft. lbs TQ, although the car is 3704 lbs. It isn't exactly a street racer car, but its quite nice.
The 2.8 A6 has even less aftermarket support than a 7thgen civic, so that means a lot of custom parts.
oh yea, the 1998 2.8 quattro only comes in auto w/ tiptronic.

Audi 2.8 is same as the VW VR6, check out http://www.goapr.com for some good parts. Audi actually has a huge market for performance parts, especially cause most of the Audi engines are also found in VW's.
My recommendation to you if you like Audi's is a A4 with a 1.8T. The 1.8T has 180 HP stock but, with less than $2000 in mods can get it over 210 HP, and over 250 FT LB TQ. The A4 is also alot lighter.
You will like the way the car feels and drives compared to the civic. No offense to the civic because I think it's a great car, but Audi's are designed to be enjoyable luxury German cars...

Have you thought about possibly a VW GTI 1.8T? I ran a 14.3 with only a chip and intake, about $700 in mods.....
Very nice interior, great Euro look once you lower it, and amazingly high low end torque.
I'm pushing 233 HP @ 280 FT LB TQ, still on the stock turbo....

I'd get the Passat over the A6 for a few reasons. First, the Passat will be cheaper, and built just as well. Second, the Passat is almost guaranteed lighter, and will be pulled by a very similar amount of power. Third, the only reason to get the A6 (IMO) over the Passat is if you need Quattro, and you're not in the market for a more recent Passat with 4Motion. If they're both FWD cars, I totally go for the VW. But I'm also not a car snob, and I don't care that one has four rings on the front. If that's not the case with you, the A6 should be a big, comfortable, somewhat reliable and dog slow car.

!Audi TT 225, has two intercoolers instead of one, slightly bigger turbo, bigger injectors, different cam profile and a few other small things. But a chiped 180 HP 1.8T can make big gains with just a $500 chip... most chips add 35 HP and 60 FT LB TQ....
