Exclamation Plz do not drink n drive

I work for my local police dept for about 3years now. I'm planning to become an officer next year. I seen alot of things that normal people dont get to see. anyway, no one should be drinking and driving. it could hurt you and/or others.

2weeks ago a police officer was driving down the road at 1am. all of the sudden a drunk drive coming the opposite way jumped into the officer's lane. The combined speed of both cars on impact was estimated at 85mph head on.

The impact was so hard that in broke the Laptop, CB radio, warning light box, and the VCR that was in the trunk of the car sealed in a vault. The VCR came out of the vault(which is sealed, waterproof, bulletproof, and fireproof) The car is buckled everywhere, making none of the doors closable. The trunk also can not be closed.

police officers are here to protect the public but they are just as prone to drunk drivers as everyone else is. Please take care and be smart.

BTW. the other car was a Honda

I would never do that. If you drunk drivers don't care about yourself or others, think of your car at least. People who drive drunk are just plain stupid.

The officer is on medical leave right now, no major injuries.

but as for the drunk driver. when the officer saw the car coming head on, he slamed on the brake causing the patrol car to dip its front end. The patrol car went pushed the underside of the honda up. the pedals of the honda are now where the steering wheel are. The drunk driver lost both of his legs.

I can honestly say I never drink and drive. Yes I drink a few beers now and then, but never drive after that. That's just stupid, and I learned from personal experience.

Man, sorry to hear about this man, I have been a police officer and am
likely going back to law enforcement. I am sorry to hear about this. Glad the officer is ok! And, I am very sorry the intoxicated driver lost his legs. I am sure he regrets this deeply. Many people make the mistake of driving intoxicated. This is good post to show us all the dire consequences. Thanks for posting, and be safe all civic bro's.

no sympathy whatsoever. i see it all too often its terrible. he decided to drive after he had been drinking. he needs to own up and face the consequences of his actions. my mother was in an accident involving a drunk driver in high school. 5 people in the car....3 were killed. the only reason she is alive today is because she was laying down in the back seat. drunk driver was going the opposite way on the turnpike and met my moms car head on. took the top of the victims car right off.......along with the upper parts of the bodies of the 3 innocent people in the front seat. when you drive under the influence of an intoxicating substance you are risking so many more lives then just your own.

holy **** dude, these are some horrible stories. glad to hear that the cop was alright, lucky he wasn't an innocent victim.

as for the driver, well at least he won't be driving for a while. when you drive drunk you get what you deserve.

i get hammered every so often, but never drive.
