Volkswagon Concept R

I searched but didn't find any mention of this car so sorry if it's a repost...

Volkswagon Concept R

This car is to be built (2007) to perform around the level of a Porsche Boxster yet for half the price. It will be Mid-Engined and rear wheel drive around 260-300HP. VW also plans to incorporate a retractable hardtop.

Personally, I think the car is hot and should also bring a pretty high performance to dollar ratio.

I think it looks HOT as well. I wonder what the exact cost will be. How does it compare to the Audi TT roadster?

I fell in love with that when I first saw pictures of it last year. I especially like the entry price point of under $30k.

if its cool and lightweight, it wil be cool. I just hope it gets its own chassis and not just a modified jetta or golf design. Although the MR layout should prevent that from happening. The styling is great, love the lower body line and flares at the wheels

that's cool..

but VW is a brand with lowest credibility....

it's the same "low-class" credibility as mitsubishi, chyrsler, dodge....etc...

that's based on the statistic.....for automotive problems..

Alot of people said that about Honda, but the S2000 seems to be doing well.

List of VW's engines....

2.0 140 HP
1.8T 180 HP
2.0T 200 HP
VR6 200 HP
W8 330 HP
W12 460 HP

Don't forget that VW is actually VAG, Volkswagen AUDI group!

Which means Audi technology is VW technology. Have you ever heard of a race called Lemans(sp?) in which Audi seems to win quite often.....

^^^^ You forgot the 3.2 VR6 240 HP found in the R32.

Also, it's my understanding that the "AG" stands for Auto Group... not "Audi Group".

Actually it's Virginia Assessment Group, j/k, I didn't know that, so thanks for setting me straight

Rolls-Royce/Bentley, the RR brand has to be transferred to BMW in 2003
