1) I'll believe it when they're in show rooms.
2) Even if it is legit, some people are willing to pay so much for the type-R name that they'll be marked up to indecent levels for a good while.
I'll wait.

RSX Type-R engine doesn't make 220hp here, our gas is a lower octane than the gas available in Japan. That's why they don't bring it over. The Civic Type-R would just steal sales from the RSX Type-S. And since when does the Head of Marketing for Honda use a message board to release information like this? Wish it were true, but it isn't very likely.

^The civic Type R will come to the US eventually but the type R integra is probally a no! Honda has been debating to send them for a long time, look at the motortrend mags. The reality is that not one of those cars passes the emission standards in the US! you people that say Japan has tighter regs are full of crap. They actually run a differnt octane than us and their polution regulations are lower..
California is the key state here
like I said though I have a turbo fund and if it reaches money and no news about the RSX or civic is availble by Xmas its going for the turbo besides with all the modifications on my car I just realized it is about equal to a type R minus the 2.0 liter engine.
Some of us even have K20s they arent likley to give those up for what honda might ask for the type R's...
dont know if they really are bargains..
just had to rethink the matter to myself, from the shock they might be coming
