Driving Shoes

Anybody use proper driving shoes? I got sick of using my bulky square heeled shoes in my car so I just ordered these:

http://www.piloti.com/images/largeshoe/rallye6-3.jpg

I think these will be really nice for Sunday drives. Who has experience with driving shoes? Am I making the right choice here?

Which ever you feel most comfortable in.. for me it would be my airwalks. They are more lighter than the steel toed work boots that i wear to drive around.

I just wear my skater shoes.........Either my BAM V.2's or my Kenny Anderson V.1 made by ADIO. I like them cause the soles are thin and you can feel the racing pedals better. Plus, my shoe's are PHAT!

cool driving but still not enough reason to buy a pair of driving shoes IMO. i dont know much about auto-x but i thought it invloved drifting and a much harder track than that , just what i always thought.

it always looks slow on camera, at the end of the first set of offset gates befor the hard Left hand turn (the second one) I was doing about 60 MPH. You can drift if you want to, but thats the slow way around the track, and being a local track rather then a national event, the courses tend to be smaller. its really all about precision, Being able to put the car exactly where you want it to be...less then an inch from the cones .

My friend has some vans, those things are so cool, too bad no stores around here sell them, and the ones that do, have a shitty selection.

Wow, this thread got alot of replies already I have a second chance to rethink this, I filled out my billing address wrong so the Credit Card didnt go through. I'll rethink it but I will probably go with the Piloti's. They are just damn kickass.

you guys do remember your driving a civic right?
Sheesh anyother one of these people Nah, its cool. Yes I know what Im driving. But pedal dancing with hiking shoes is like riding a speed bike with rain boots. It just doesnt feel right

Zzyzx, nice driving man! I got a question for you though. When going into thoes very tight corners, did you go back into first gear or second? I always have a hard time getting mine to downshift into first. I heard you heel toe it so Im assuming it was second gear but I could be wrong. As you said the video perspective makes it appear slower than reality.

those whole runs were done in 1st and 2nd. You just have to revmatch right, then the car should just drop right in to 1st.

Look on the tongue of the shoe, if there is a tag that says "not flameproof equipped or Nicht Falmmefest ausgerustet" then they are the RepliCats, if they are Flame proof then they are the Race Cats
