I wanna see the new Lightning suppose to be equipped an optional 50 shot. 22's and the styling is a bit nicer but the ram is soo big and mean looking both are pimped out trucks I wouldn't mind either one.

That thing want even beat a 2003 lighting slightly modified (talking intake, exhaust, headers)
And you can do this with just a price in the $30,000 range

and for the new lightning 500hp numbers they are raising the price of the truck supposedly to $40000.... it wont be 500hp crank horsepower all the time it will be with this new A/C condensed shot that will be sprayed into your intercooler for roughly a minute and will take like 2 min to recharge..... i see this being banned from track use b/c the condensation from the a/c will make a dangerous condition on the track





and to you theres always a cheaper way to go like for example my dakota r/t new 23,000(i got mine used btw) and a 4,000 blower kit and you are faster then a stock lightning.... there is always a faster car b/c the other guy puts more money into mods.... you can make anything fast, you guys should know this more then anything being that this is a civic board



in my case i will have 13,000 into my truck by the end of the year (all maintence and buying price and shipping) and will be putting some low to mid 400 hp numbers down to the wheels

Yup it's a poor waste of an overpriced El Camino, not even a truck because you can't even put anything in the bed because of the toneau cover. They'll probably discount them $10,000 off, in a couple of month's like the Lincoln Blackwood.

and whats wrong with a toneau cover? i think it really cleans up the look of the truck with my hard one on the back and i can still fit tons of stuff in there

1) The Lightning Concept put down 500hp PLUS the 50hp claimed from the SuperCooler technology.

2) As far as I know, AC isn't banned from the track, so neither would this, although I doubt it will make it to production.

The SSR isn't that bad as far as retro styling goes (I prefer one over the Thunderbird, also a retro styled car).

Of course, its fine as long as you don't plan on using it like a truck, performance car, multi-passenger vehicle (2 seats), economy car (heavy + v8).

So, whats it good for again?

About the only thing really impressive about it is the retractable hardtop for that low of a price...

I guess its a 2 seat touring roadster with a big trunk that looks like it has connections to a 50s style truck?

I wouldn't buy one, but I do think it will do better than Ford's thunderbird as far as getting people to buy a retro vehicle goes. The T-Bird has basically flopped...

Now, SRT-10 -- Thats what a truck is about... Of course I like the Lightning also...
