This is why you need hood pins

^ thats all your asking of the hood pins is to save your hood from flying off and possibly causing an accident.
Let us establish some things:
First: Hood pins are made for easy access to the engine bay, and not so your CF hood doesn't fly off.
Second: Any CF hood that flies off is made badly.
Third: Unless your Civic is in the WRC, your car is the embodiment of rice if it has hood pins.
Please do the rest of the civics a favor and don't put useless pins on your car. You're not Mr. WRC who has to go into the hood every day to see why your bristling ULEV 110 HP engine's malfunctioning. Just gives civics a bad name when people put these kind of mods on their car.

haha thats funny i agree why would you post that as an ebay pic to help sell your car.... that doesnt make sense o and i was really surprised at how light your carbon fiber hoods really are...my hood is heavy

and vietstyLez correct me if im wrong but that looks alot more like a poorly manufactuered product you should need hood pins to keep the product together the hood split in half not came unlatched

yes, that probally was a porely manufactured product because just the top half came off, but with hood pins it would have stayed on and maybe just split and not came off. but you need hood pins for hoods that have poor latches that can come loose and cause you whole hood to fly off or like stated before, in a front collision.

that latch on the vis hood doesnt look like it came there. vis doesnt have steel latchs, whats up with that or do they. all hoods ive seen never had steel latched.
