Actually bro, the numbers are off. The Mazdaspeed numbers aren't very accurate. Most reports I've seen gave better numbers than those, and honestly those are probably some of the weakest I've seen.
Here's Motor Trend:
MazdaSpeed Protégé
0-60 MPH 6.5
1/4 Mile 14.9@93.2
BRK, 0-60, ft 124
Slalom, MPH 68.3

The list isn't accurate. Don't take it to heart. However, magazine racing is pointless, but call it how you see it eh? We can all go and search for differing numbers but it accomplishes nothing in the end. It's another compilation of hypothetical bullshit. The net is so infected sometimes.

Yeah. . some of the numbers are not accurate. Chances are there will be some mods done to the car, plus it's hard to determine the year of the cars after they do some modding.
If I roll up to any of those cars I pretty much just assume that I'm going to loose and either don't bother, or just enjoy roosting them up.

^^ Agree, if they win I kinda give them a thumbs up, or a peace sign or something like that.
Sometimes the finger if they do that stupid thing that people do when they have won and you back off and they cut over into your lane. Why do they do that? lol

The list is a cool idea, but the most important thing missing from that list is AUTO or MANUAL. For instance:
Ford Mustang V6 $20,000 8.5 sec 16.3 sec 130 mph (200 ft) 0.83 g
I feel bad for the mid-low 16 second car that reads this and, thinking he could win gets totally romped by a Manual one. It is a pretty good idea, just could be a little more specific with trannys.
Oh and the Mustang one should read like this:
Ford Mustang V6 $13,000 7.1 sec 15.3 sec 120 mph (200 ft?) 0.83 g
Ford Mustang V6 $20,000 8.5 sec 16.3 sec 130 mph (200 ft) 0.83 g
