Dear valued customers,
We apologize for any inconvenience that we have caused. We have been flooded with inquirers about the Beast crate engine.
The Beast is now shipping and is in stock at a few key accounts like Hawaii Racing, Team C Performance and Hawaii Performance Warehouse. The crate engine is a made to order program, that means it’s built and shipped with in two days of the order. This is a very efficient process. The engine is shipped with installation instructions and warranty info. Install questions and any engine swap questions should be referred to an engine swap company like a Hasport. Tuning questions should be directed to Tom Payn of Payn Technologies, 248.649.DYNO. E-MAIL: Tomp@payntechnologies.com
Any customer of The Mr. Gasket Co. can order a Beast for you, and can quote a cost to you. We cannot quote you a cost direct. Any large mailorder like a JCWhitney, Summit or Jegs will sell the Beast. My suggestion would be to shop around. This truly is the finest Honda performance street engine available.
Thank you and have fun with your Beast.

I know that you can drop a regular 2001 GSR engine into your 2001 Civic, but I see no reason why you couldn't drop this engine into any year Civic because it's brand new.
I belive I'm correct in saying that the law only cares if it's a reproduction when regarding the chassis. For example, a lot of people have reproduction Lotus Sevens, but they can put just about any engine in it. Even though the thing was made in 1998, the law acts as if the car was made half a a century ago, so just about any engine is fair play. I don't think the law does the same thing for engines - i.e. they won't regard the beast as a 2001 because that's the year of the last car it came in.

The result in our cars? Well, the K20A2 (RSX-S engine) has 200hp and 142 ft/lbs of torque. This car has 70hp more and 43 ft/lbs more torque. I think these are about the numbers a turbo'd RSX-S puts down.
And our cars are lighter.
Sadboy, you might not call 270hp to the front wheels the beast in our cars, but I think the term would be suitable for a CRX or maybe Del Sol. 270hp in something as small as those would be crazy.

that was out a long time ago. its a built engine right? so what if they were to do the same thing with a k20a,k20a3 i wonder what the result would be. that is like sending your block to dh racing and haveing them do internals but you just buy thAT and your done. ready for an obnoxious amout of n20 or a crazy turbo setup.

I know the ITR B18C had like 192hp, so that's about an 80hp gain. I would assume the K20 would see the same types of gains, which would yield about ten more hp than their Beast.

.......and don't forget, this motor is built and could prolly handle 15 psi of boost. That motor can easily make over 400hp.

^ I totally agree. This is not an engine you drop in and call it done... even though you could. This engine begs for more stuff to be done. Supercharger - turbocharger - nitrous (even though I don't like this last option.)

i think a k20a with just a few upgrades to maybe around 220hp would be enough for me without blowing my halfshafts every month.. i mean its a friggin civic
