Rep Power: 340 Let's look at the largest cab short bed V8 4x4 models.
F-150 - $30,000
Titan - $34,000
They're both V8s. The F-150 gets more hp per litre at 55.5 hp/L compared to the Titan's 54.6 hp/L.
They get the same fuel economy.
The Titan, at 379 ft/lbs of torque beats out the F-150 by 14 ft/lbs.
The weight to power ratio of the F-150 wins out at 17.2 compared to the Titan's 17.4.
Both have front and rear disc brakes though the Titan comes with stock 18" rims while the F-150 has 17s.
Now for real truck stuff....
The Titan weighs 5,431lbs and can haul a maximum of 9,400lbs. The F-150 weighs 5,170lbs and can haul a maximum of 7,200lbs.
On paper, there is no clear winner. Both are very capable trucks and if the Titan sells well, it will establish Nissan in the full-size truck market. But since it doesn't have any huge advantage over its Detrot counterparts, I think the majority of people will see it like I do and stick with the F-150.

Rep Power: 0 if one thing is for sure its that Detroit makes damn good trucks and have proven to be well made.....the titan has not proven much of anything. i see f-150's all over the place here, and there has got to be a reason for it......its gotta be good

Rep Power: 276 well the titan beat the f-150 in a car and driver comparison. mainly because it had bad power train performance, and it wasn't very fun to drive.
if i wanted a truck/truck i'd go with the titan. and it cost 4 grand less.
yet the ford looks 10x better and the interior is incredable.
Oh yeah here are some #'s
F-150
300 HP
325 TQ
5000 Redline
19.9 lb per HP
9.3 to 60
17.0@82mph 1/4 mile
Cant get to 100 MPH
Top speed 99
9200 lb towing capacity
Nissan Titan
305 Hp
370 TQ
6000 Redline
17.3 lb per hp
7.6 to 60
16.0@86 1/4 mile
23.5 to 100
Top speed 114
9400 lb towing capacity
Yet again the Ford looks nicer and the power is nothing a bully dog chip upgrade can't fix and the interior is soooooooooo fawkin purty.
But there is that 4 grand less issue.
edit"white you go your prices mixed up.
Ford Base-$34,000
Titan Base-$30,000

Rep Power: 340 littlePman - you're half right. I was looking at the wrong cabbed truck for the Ford.
The 2004 Ford Truck F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 139-in. WB Lariat Styleside is $35,570. The 2004 Nissan Truck Titan LE Crew Cab 4X4 is $34,200. Basically the same price since American car companies have rebates all the time.
When it gets to what the trucks can haul though, the F-150's bed is a decent amount bigger.
