there is no TL in japan????
ok i was surfing around the honda japan website. so they don't have an Acura TL model? I know that in japan models are a lil different in badging but literally they don't have it. i know that the Japanese Accord is the Acura TSX, Japanese Integra is Acura RSX. But one thing i notice is that they have the Inspire which is our American Accord. just like integra= rsx, is it inspire= TL? i know that a TL is literally same as a hyped up Accord but don't you think if that is the case then the HONDA Inspire should look like the Acura TL? so does that mean that we are the only one who has Acura TL in the lineup????
US
Accord (Japan Inspire)
TSX (Japan Accord)
TL ????????
Japan
Accord (US TSX)
Inspire (US Accord)
btw: the japanese CRV is 1000000x better looking than our cheap A$s looking CRV's.

TL used to call Legend in the US. The Legends in Japan are the same as the TLs here in the US.

yeh that's what i was thinking. the Inspire is Japan's TL. it used to be last model's TL = last model inspire. now they used the US Accord as a replacement for the inspire instead of the US Acura TL. Legend are the RL not the TL. also, CR-V in japan is not US Pilot. its the same as CR-V in US except they have color bumpers.

There are NO Acura's in Japan. Acura is an american based company. So of coures you won't find a TL there. The TL has a platform of it's own. The Inspire is actually closer to an Accord. Now yes Europe has an Accord the Type R. The TL is it's own car. 65% of it is made in the US. Where as the TSX, RSX and the RL are all about 95% made in Japan. Reason being is because they are all based on Japanesse models! Oh I sell then that is why I know.

We were just commenting on the diff b/w the two- do not need to think we are acting like what you call a "dumb ***."
Anyways, I am not too sure about the TL thing- I have not seen any cars that could be comparable. It seems that overseas the "luxury sedan" for lack of a better word is not too common like it is here so may not be one.....

The Acura TL in japan is called the Honda Inspire. ... pretty much what dragoon said
as to what MY01HX said, "There are NO Acura's in Japan. Acura is an american based company. So of coures you won't find a TL there. The TL has a platform of it's own. The Inspire is actually closer to an Accord." ... if im reading correctly, you're saying there is no "TL" in Japan ... again, its the same car just called Inspire and RHD.
I was in Japan just a week ago.

what im saying is that japan doesn't have the car TL. forget about the badging and the name of the car. im saying the car itself, japan don't have a TL in their lineup.
ok my point is you cannot see this car on their lineup. get it??????

no bull, because they don't have Acuras. Acuras are luxury division of Honda but they don't do that anywhere else, they just stick to HONDA. its one of those marketing scams that they do to ask more money because it has a hyped up badge. did anyone really understand my point? i don't need to ask around cuz i know they don't have a "TL" badge because its a Fvcking Acura. some of the replies are just flat out retarded, its just like asking where do you live and you answer them your name. stvpid answers that don't even relate to the questions. jeez man im not a dumb A$s.

Well it all depends what year Inspire you are looking at! The 2004 TL are not made in Japan. That is what I was trying to say. As a matter of fact if you look up the New Inspire it looks just like the Honda Accord. Those pics above are the 04 TL. Which like I said is it's own car. The old school Inspire is the TL.

I give up-
No point in answering a ? IMO- esp when the person does not like the responses.
People ALWAYS get off on other subjects on the site, hasn't everyone noticed that by now?
And, I ASKED AROUND (I didn't say that you should)I didn't know so I asked my friend at Acura.........

Searched for info once and got a virus when I went on a site from Japan so anyone know?

There's an Acura dealership in Hong Kong if anybody cares. And in Canada our CRV has an EX-L trim that comes with leather and body colour bumpers.
Acura TSX = JDM Accord
USDM Honda Accord = JDM Inspire
Acura TL = no other
USDM Honda Odyssey = JDM Honda LeGreat
JDM Honda Odyssey = smaller previous gen Odyssey
In the previous generation:
Acura TL = JDM Honda Insprie = JDM Honda Saber
USDM Honda Accord != JDM Honda Accord
Confused yet?

I'll take a guess about the new 2004 Acura TL would be...The new generation of Legend in Japan! I know the previous model used to be Inspire but now the Inspire in Japan is same as Accord here. The Legend (AKA RL) haven't changed the model for a long while already so it is possible that Honda in Japan is going to have the 2004 TL with some upgrades and make it a new Legend! Again this is a guess but it seems to be like that...
99-03 acura TL (older version) here in america= honda inspire in Japan
03+ honda accord here in america= the new honda inspire in Japan
acura tsx here in america= accord euro R in Japan
03+ honda accord here in america= the new honda inspire in Japan
acura tsx here in america= accord euro R in Japan
