Rep Power: 0 Bought my 01 LX coupe used... It had 23k on it. The car was actually bought new in 2/02, so that when the warranty began on it. After a 11 months (meaning 1/03), I bought iit from a guy I know. I paid 10500 for it. I then spent 850 to buy a HondaCare 7/100k warranty (since Honda's powertrain warranty is only 3/36 as well!).
So, the car is basically good until 2/09 or 70,000 miles more... Not a bad deal for a little over 11k. And I paid cash for that, so nothing left.
I see a lot of 01 EXs in the paper used but under warranty for like 12k, so that gives you an idea of what things are like in the Portland OR market
Heck, up here, dealers start negotiations at 1000 over MSRP (stupid markups).

Crap, we've had our 04 since around November, and she already has 8K miles on the clock That's also due to an unusually long commute, but even without it we'd go over 12,000 miles within 6 months

Rep Power: 0 I picked her up in October and I have only logged 3,000 miles.
But I love driving her. I was sick of the attention the z was getting me. More of a hassle than anything. The civic is what i needed. A safe, economical, and smart looking car that is easy to live with. I dontt even remember how to pump gas
I'll try to post pics soon.

Hey man it was at Tempe Honda in Tempe, AZ. They do that to their cars there. This car was sitting on the lot with aftermarket wheels and the windows tinted already. Of course it caught my attention because the rest of their civics were stock with no tint. It's just something they do there, they have an entire rack of aftermarket wheels. If you purchase a car there, you can choose from all different brands of aftermarket wheels and tires they have, they'll install them too. So when I bought the car, it wasn't something I requested. I could have had the wheels removed and put back to stock wheel if i wanted, but one of my best friends is a salesman there and he through in the wheels and tires and tint for free to me, which was nice.
They always have vehicles decked out though. They had a CRV on 20+"s, they have a awesome v6 navi accord on 18"s with 225/35/ZR18's, just a selling technique they use.
That help answer your question?

Thanks for the explanation Matrix, that is really weird! I have not heard of any other Honda dealer (at least east coast) that does that...pretty neat.

Really??? You mean this kit (plus AC vents of course)??
Are they falling off or something? It's ALL in the application temperature and if you have ever armor alled the dash...I had to clean for a looooong time before the suckers would even stick

The pass. Vent would not stick and this was after i just got the car...
the center area kept peeling in areas of heat.. eg.. by the air vents... and the second dealer had no clue on how to heat it up a little so it molded right...
3rd time is a charm... now i want more silver in my car... i have some ideas... but money is tight.. have to fix my bumber... :-(

Anyway, 2004 LX Coupe with GAP insurance bought on May 18, 2004 in CA:
$13,500 plus I was $400 upside down on my trade.
$279.89 x 60 = $16,793 @ 2.9APR

this thread should have been more specific for BUY or LEASE cars.
