It looks pretty sweet in person... I saw one last spring, fully assembled at the GM prototype center.
Keep in mind the pics above are well camouflaged. I work at a Tier-1 OEM parts supplier, I'm working on exterior trim parts for the GMX-381, aka Pontiac G6. It is the Grand Am replacement, and will hit showroom floors in late august of 2004.
The back end doesn't look as Neon-like as the pics...

yes this is going to replace the Grand AM, and my neighbor works for pontiac and got a final look at the finished product and not the concept, but he said when its not disguised it looks exactly like the concept and has the best fit and finish in the industry now... kinda hard to believe for a gm but its true.
take a look
nicely done with the colored leather and everything if you ask me... BTW the final product will have colored leather.

hopefully the powertrain is what they said the concept had. I still need to see one for myself to see how good the fit and finish is on the interior...

the side mirrors on the 2nd set of pics.... no
and the back doors look strange... the center console also does not look right. I do not belive it is going to look like that when it comes out

considering that its basically the new grand am, and the grand am has been below the grand prix in power and size and price, i would think that it would start well below $25k in price, i would bet under $20k for a no frills 4cyl.
well, everything you see in that car, is exactly how it is going to be when it goes into production, my neighbor works for pontiac and he got to see the final production version and he said that there are only small changes in the production vehicle. The car you see is exactly what its going to look like when you go to the lot.
