Seriously, let's not .... plz.

I reg'd over here to quell the *******. We're automobile enthusiasts, all of us. I and the majority of SRT-4 owners are mature adults that can appreciate a car for what it is, and poke fun of a car that deserves it. That is not to say there are no trolls that talk smack on mommy and daddy's intarweb connection however. I apologize on behalf of SRTer's that are, and will continue to be dumbasses, honestly. It's a small percentage of our people that give us a bad name in your eyes. Everyone respects the honda line for it's value and after market support, and I respect the hell out of a clean, modded civic. Just offer us the same respect plz ... or flame me ... or ban me ... whatever.

btw, any modded honda's in the So Cal area wanna drag, drop me a line

Agreed. Finally someone is making sense and not coming in here to invade our site. There are so many different cars it shouldn't matter who drives what and which one is faster. So long as you like the car, then it's all good. Everyone has different needs and tastes.

Good to hear from you. My best friend owns an srt-4 ("srt ace" on the forums) and I have lots of respect for it. You are quite the peacemaker

Thank's for the good responce ya'll. Feel free to cruise our regioal section and hit up our meets ... we're car lovers like you and every other auto owner that takes the time to hit up forums pretaining to their cars.

I also am a SRT-4 owner and dont understand why people feel the need to bash on other peoples car for whatever reason. I for one, like almost ANYTHING that is either tastefully modded to look good, stock and looks good, or fast, no matter what it is. I too apologize for the morons who come troll onto other forums, only to post idiotic and useless threads. My .02 anyway.

BinaryPoet, Are you a member of Leghumper.com? If so, hey man! You make some great posts.

But this is my house. Yes some of the members are haters of the SRT-4. I love the new dodge. If it had been released when I was in the market for a car, I would have gotten one.

Lets keep this thread low key. I know they SRT-4 owners are mature, but the civic owners of this site seem to be young and immature. It makes the rest of us civic owners look bad.

I'm all for the SRT-4. I am in the realm of looking to get my civic boosted. Then I will be set. I have to admit the SRT-4 is the best bang for the buck, however I got a civic first so I got to mod it my way.

Well this is certainly just about like a breath of fresh air. . It's really annoying when someone without a Civic joins a Civic site for the sole purpose of talking $hit. I mean convincing a bunch of owners of any car that their car isn't good is just not worth the time, because they bought it for a reason. So anyways. I'm not going on about it too much, thanks for being a decent owner, because we all know that anyone who doesnt' buy a Honda is just stupid!!!

KIDDING!! Hehe.

I think alot of people are just frustrated or need some kind of cop out to explain the "worth" of the SRT-4 meaning its cheap and its fast, I think alot of people have respect for it even though there are alot of "its still a neon" attitude...

I hope you meant to say "SOME of the civic owners are young and immature." Don't label everyone based on a few idiots that like to flame.

Let's remember that if a SRT-4 is still a neon, a Civic Si, Civic Boosted, RSX-S etc. are still Civics and RSXs, just to be fair. One could say that my M3 is 'still' a 325ci. Well, someone who isn't very sane anyways, hehehe

Now this is a good start. To the SRT-4 guys, thanks for coming on here and being so mature and civil. As with every Forum, you will find the occasional bad apple who believes his/her car is the end all be all of the world. I sincerely extend a welcome to any of your members who also wish to join and have serious discussions about each others cars and experiences.

Since the RSX is made by a Luxury car company is it "still just an RSX".

well it isn't all the "other car peoples'" fault. Granted sometimes they come here to troll, but other times they post normal stuff and get bashed for it! I get that on b15sentra.net. They think I am idiot or I am there to tell people that their car sucks. Sometimes it is the members HERE that get all defensive when their little Hondacentric world is shattered! I am glad this thread is going well though.

people in the US dont consider Honda a "Luxury" car manufacturer..... so honda came up with Acura, so even though its wearing an A its really an H.

And the RSX is actually an upgraded civic, same chassis, same suspension design. Just slap a different body on the civic, put some leather on the intirior and bam you got an RSX. that is if you also upgrade the engine.....

the point Im trying to make her, in relation to the SRT-4, is that if Dodge didnt want the SRT-4 to be called "Just a Neon" then they did a **** poor job in disguising the fact that its based on the neon chassis. Un like the job Honda did with the RSX, Most people would never guess that my civic and the RSX are the same chassis. but put an SRT-4 and a NEon next to eachother........... well Dodge missed the boat there. Fast car, but I dont want one. And I've worked on to many demestic cars to ever want one.

Uhmmm, how about you get off SRT4 owners sacks and don't label everyone to be immature. If you read up on srtforums, most of those guys are 10X worse maturity wise then the people on this site so: I either hope you are joking or you definatly got a good grip on the srt4 owners sacks.

Well, it's still a neon! j/k

I don't like it until it proves it's reliable but that's just me. I don't bash people for owning it and I know it's fast as hell. IMHO it's the best looking Neon ever built.

YAY STOCK!

I respect people that respect me. Thats all in what meeting and making friends is all about. I really like the idea of a mass marketed turbo neon. It may make honda rethink their production status, bring some type-r models to the states. Welcome to the civic site.

I dunno though, even the Type-Rs are pretty boring (and expensive!)...granted, if you compare them to our cars they're like space shuttles, but there's not much performance-wise that's over the tops except for maybe the NSX Type-R if they still make it but the NSX is probably one of the worse values as far as sports cars go. By definition it's actually rice! Looks fast, doesn't go fast! Cars that are much cheaper are much faster and handle much bettert, example: AMG Mercedes', Motorsport BMWs, Vipers, Corvettes...Back to the topic at hand, I give props to Dodge for what they did with the SRT-4. Honda couldn't come close to it pricewise...TRD offers a supercharger for the Corolla/Matrix for about $3k so they might be competitive...
