excuses to drive car?

Do you like to drive your car so much that you make up excuses to go out? I went to the store just to get some gravy and a snapple.

Yeah, and it's not getting me anywhere (punny) in terms of how many miles i'm getting on it already. But hey, when you love something, it's hard to neglect it!

I just go for drives to no where. I don't look for a place to go. Just 1/2 an hour drive in a circle. Am I mental? Maybe. Do I care? No.
Its just what I do to clear my head.

I have made many late night trips to wal mart via the back twisty roads. I don't really need anything. But I always think of someting to buy just to justify my trip.

Sometimes late at night ill drive out to an empty mountain road about 15 mins from my house and just tear it up for the fun of it. At like 2 in the morning, nobody is on it, and I can use the entire road for turning. So much fun...

Sometimes I just go out at like 2 am to do some late night canyon runs. My parents wouldn't care.

I actually dont like taking my car out unless I have to. The roads in Boston suck and the drivers are just as bad. There arent really any roads here that I can just take my car out and go.

That sucks. I'm always afraid of other drivers and roads in town are bad as well. There are lots of places here in farm country where you can just drive and relax.

Ill say im going over to a friends house, then Ill go tear it up on some back road or something. I also take the longer way to and from work everyday because its a more enjoyable drive, and one time I found myself driving to a town MANY miles from where I live, just because I felt the need to relax, and inside my car is a great place to do it.

If I had my car right now, I would be driving around the area and getting to know my new hometown of Santa Barbara. Unfortunately car is still in the shop. Shrug...but the second I get that thing back, I think I will need to go out on a long drive....ROAD TRIP!!!! Say that I am going out for something random like a soda then drive 200 miles to some gas station buy a can and come back.

Yeah, I just got some rims and went out cruising again. Whenever I do a mod, driving is the reward.

You guys are lucky. I no longer know the meaning of "cruising for the sake of cruising". Whenever I feel like taking the car for a spin...I go down about 2 blocks and already notice that i've used up 1/2 a tank of gas

i drive way too much, although i've managed to put on less than 5000km's in the past 3 months, which is really good for me. i really hate it when i'm leaving the house and someone asks me where i'm going, if i wanted them to know i would've told them. I usually just say i'll be home in a bit.

I drive to clear my head, vent frustration and enjoy my sound system.

I put over 60,000 a year on my cars and 13k on the motor cycle. I love driving. (62500 on my 02 cvic before the roll over and only had it 13 months.)

Most of my driving is back and forth to work, and my road trips to orlando. ( my bro lives down there)

I average 4200 a month. Oil changes every 7 weeks.

I feel for ya kiwi133. Breaking in my new 04 civic. 3000 on it already in 3 weeks. Almost done.
