Saab 9-3 vs Infiniti G35 sedan
G35 sedan
nice options
260hp 3.5L v6
ATTESA E-TS AWD(same setup as on the gtr)
its only availible in a 5spd automatic, with tiptronic shifting
OR, 6spd MT
no AWD, but it is RWD, with close mission with short throw shifter
Saab 9-3 sport sedan
shown with the aero kit
2.0T with 210hp
6spd MT
TCS(traction control system)
i dunno, both look very sexy, but im gonna swing towards the G35 just cause u cant just turn down the GT-R drivetrain

Tough one, 20 more HP and its 223 LBS lighter then the G35 sedan 6spd mt and its 492 lBS lighter then the G35 Sedan AWD .... I dont think that AWD is all that worth it here. Too much weight.
Tough Call...
Oh man, i drove the g35 the other day and i fell in love with it. Id say G35!!! That **** is so fast. But i drove a sedan auto. Still ****in fast. I was doin 120mph on a regular street.

Anyways... go get the current Car and Driver. They did the 35K sedan Comparo. Saab finished second to last, the G35 won.
It looks better.
Better power: weight ratio.
How much do you need AWD? If you don't have snow/ ice/ rain most of the year, RWD is great. (is the SAAB RWD?)
You'd have to spend less on the 9- 3 to get higher power output (turbos show plenty of gains for less $$)
Which one can you get cheaper?
Read some Euro mags on tuner 9-3s. You'll be impressed.

Its funny how hung up on AWD people are nowadays. in Reality, AWD can actually be a performance liabilty. Think Much more power loss through the drivetrain. (The WRX with the 2.0L engine would be a DOG if it didnt have a turbo) The only time AWD really shines is in adverse weather conditions (Rain ect) other wise your probably better off with RWD.
and the obligitory autocross compairison. WRX is in D-Stock, and cant even beat an Integra-R(FWD) or a BMW 330Ci (RWD). another example STi and the EVO 8, both A-stock and they arnt even close to the Vettes that dominate the class.
Does this mean that AWD is bad? No, it just means its been Over hyped.

ZZYZX - If you left, people here would unfortunately be happy to only talk about 1/4 mile times. Thanks for being here.

...... ZZYZX is just trying to make his point, isnt that the reason why ppl post anyway? I also feel AWD is over rated.... if youre willing to talk 1/4 mile, they may be good at the start, but they will fall behind due to drivetrain loss, unless you got some 500WHP AWD car. Although AWD has come a long way, but it may never defy the laws of physics, AWD = understeer... GT-R included... sorry.... that is how it is. I have a Best Motoring vid with a 1000PS skyline going on track... and boy was it understeering....... haha Registered!!
