240sx and s15 conversion?

I'm curious, does anyone have any experience with 240sx and s15 conversions? How much would i be looking at to take a 240 do a front clip conversion and sr20det swap? Also heard that it can be done with 240's under 1995, is that true? Any places that sell this stuff would be usefull, thanks

The S15 was never sold here... so doing a 15 conversion requires grafting the front end onto the S14. You're better off for the sake of keeping the flow of the car to just do the JDM S14 front end conversion, and dropping the S15 SR20DET (T28 Turbo instead of T25, 250HP vs 220) in the car. It'll come out cleaner, and you'll still have your power. Although SR20s are invincible iron lumps... so if its an S14 engine, it doesn't matter, building the **** out of it is pretty easy to do.
I highly doubt you can get a full front clip (basically everything from the firewall forward) for $2000. There's just no way. The engine/trans is about $3000-$4500 depending on milage and model. (unless that 1995 you say is a model year, in which case... the 1995-1998 240 is the one you're looking for (S14 Chassis). If you can find an later model SE trim, you'll get the car with the angle headlights and 5 lugs already on it, and be pretty much set)

For s15 conversion boilermaker pretty much said everything. You can easily put a sr20 into older 240sx pre 95 models pretty easy swap imo my friend did it while in mechanics school only half in into the course.

The S15 motor requires alot of modifications to fit into S14 chassis's....there are different mods that need to be done to accomidate the 6 speed transmission and what not
