I smell a lot of BS in this post. If you guys want to prove you actually paid that use #'s that work. How do I know that they don't work? I am in my program that I use for work (I am an auto finance underwriter) and your #'s are whacked.

2002 Civic Sedan EX Auto
around $16.6k + taxs/fees/dmv in northen california
got free 7 year warranty, teflon clearcoat, scotch guard everything and some random coupons for stuff like free maintience services and free gas. if i offset the junk i got, i probably paid in the low $15ks. but its ok, the warranty is worth it.
im pretty sure by the way i drive, ill kill something in the car. as reliable as the honda could be, its not gonna run perfect between the end of the 3rd and 7th year. any kinda repair will cost me hundreds of dollars. also i got this in the sr year of hs (im a 2nd year in college right now) so ill need that warranty after i become poor after college. hahahaha

Rep Power: 0 ok guys, here is the story on my 13,500 deal. i did get it brand new from a dealer in so cal. there was an add in the paper that said "02' sedan, auto, 13,500" so me and my dad went to the dealer, said we wanted that same deal in a 02 coupe auto. took about 2 hours of collective bargaining but we got our deal. so after taxes and fees and bull it ended up being low 17's then i put a 7,000 down on it so i guess it was really around low 10's.. but yeah, thats the deal and thats the truth... and my monthly payment is almost $200 flat with the 60 month purchase program.

Not to be a jerk, I'm still calling you out for BS (unless it's a lease) until you prove me wrong. What's your APR? It sounds like you were so convinced you got a good deal, they got you. If you paid $13500 sales price, tax in California is $1046, which makes the amount to finance max $16k including California doc fee of $45, Smog and Tire of $58.25 and License of $442. What did they add into the back end on you? With $7k down on that, even at 5%, the max payment you would have is $155/month. Want to prove me wrong? Just post your fed box amounts in the following format and I'll check them with my program here:
APR
Amount to Finance
Finance Charge
Total of Payments
# of Payments
Payment amt per month

I've got news for you, if you financed $10K, and you put down $7k, you didn't buy it for $13,500. I would suggest you relook at your contract and see what else they "sold" you. I added all of the state fees and maxes on the backend products and could get only to $9000.
Another thing, if you financed 10k for 60 mos at 5%, your payment would not be $202, it would be $188. Here is copy and paste job from my work program.
Amount to Finance $10,000.00
Term 60
APR 5.00%
Payment $188.71
Finance Charge $1,322.74
Total Trans Cost $11,322.75

Nothing personal, I know nothing about you, I wasn't attacking you, just the information that you provided. Now you've raised the bar another level so here it goes...............There were a couple of posts questioning your sales price, I am providing mere data to show you that you DON'T know how much you paid for your car or you were just BSing in your first post. I'm not a **** but I'll call out someone if I think they are BSing. You had to chance to prove you weren't and you failed miserably. How ironic you are not here to impress us, but you post something like:
