the honda that never was.
How many people think Honda should have gone this way. First things first NO ACURA its just a honda with another emblem. The model line up should go like this.
CIVICS
Hybrid
Lx
Ex
Si should be removed either you have a rsx or a civic PICK ONE
ACCORD
No changes accords are fine
CRV
Get rid of it I thought the pilot was made to replace it?
PILOT
Read above
INSIGHT
Get rid of it
ELEMENT
Get rid of it
ODDYSEY
Its fine
S2000
Fine as is just not my style maybe a bigger conv should replace it.
RL
225 hp / 231 lbs tq for 45k??? its in desperate need of a exterior makeover or just dropped from the line up
TL
Tight car good price
TSX
It’s a 4 door rsx not that it’s a bad thing but I think it should have a rsx embleme on it.
RSX
Its fine
NSX
New nsx is TIGHT it better match its 130k price tag unlike the old nsx that should cost around 30k less
MDX
Its fine maybe the updated version should be a little larger just a thought.

Not really. Here's how I disagree with you.
CIVICS
DX
LX
EX
SI
Hybrid in both coupe and sedan.
ACCORDS
They're fine.
CR-V
Leave it, but redesign it to have less cheap looking plastic on the outside. The pilot is bigger and more expensive.
INSIGHT
Leave it, but redesign it. If they want people to drive it, make it a normal looking car - not a flat-out hippie-mobile.
ELEMENT
Good riddance.
ODDYSEY
How about an Oddysey type-s or Si?
PILOT
Redesign the rear end of it.
S2000
Change the name to S2200 since the engine is 2.2L now. Otherwise, don't fix what isn't broken. Make it easier to get a hardtop.
RL
Never seen one on the road. Something needs to change.
TL
Good car.
TSX
Good car.
RSX
Good car.
NSX
Maybe up the power a little bit and it should be badged as a Honda. For 100K, it should break 300hp. Keep it a V6 though. I never wanna see a V8 in a Honda.
MDX
Not my cup of tea, but it's a good car.

V8 honda hsc (nsx) would be the cure on what every honda always lacks TORQUE. the day honda makes a v8 is the day the racing scene takes hondas serious.
My opinion....... Honda shoulda just released the exact same line in the US as they release in Japan. And no v8's for Christ's sake...... sadboy just doesn't understand japanese cars lol.... and why the **** does he drive a civic anyway?

Here's my opinion.
CIVICS
Hybrid in coupe and sedan
Lx
Hx in coupe and sedan, maybe exclusively CVT
Ex
Si hatch, with a redesign
Type R, bring it here in limited numbers as a status car
ACCORD
manual transmission v6 available on both coupes and sedans in plentiful numbers
CRV
CRV is fine, the Pilot was never intended to be a replacement.
PILOT
Don't see anything wrong with it yet.
INSIGHT
Civic hybrid makes this pretty much worthless.
ELEMENT
Keep it
ODDYSEY
Keep it
S2000
Hardtop-only model
RL
Needs a complete redesign to compete with Lexus and Infiniti
TL
The 2004 redesign is a step in the right direction
TSX
good car, kinda like the GSR sedan in concept
RSX
make a "type S zero" version with less luxury and more sport (no moonroof, brembos, no leather, no bose system, recaros maybe)
NSX
honda should pack as much high-tech gear as possible. don't cheapen the NSX, keep it as a status symbol.
MDX
could be larger, and maybe sportier.

well folks let me enlighten you on a few things. the cl was cancelled because they just didn't sell like they thought they would. the four door accord will most likely never be avaible in a manual v6. honda will be producing a pickup with a v8 as i'm told and it will be made along side the accords, in ohio. the insight was made so that it could be efficent. it will run 70 mph. i did hear a rumor that there maybe a civic coupe si in the works. not sure of the date it will come out or where it will be made. the pilot was the passport. it was produced for honda by isuzu. honda decided to build it thereselves, and gave it a new name.
Good info on this thread! I didn't know HALF of this ****! "And knowledge is half the battle!" -G.I. Joe

All these are fine and dandy, but they need to bring in more Type-R's (or Type-S nowadays);
Civic
Would be nice to finally see a REAL Civic Type-R on the streets
Accord
Bring in the Type-R as a 2-Door only.
Oddysey
It's already here as an Si
RSX
Type-s is fine, but it's not an -R
3.2
Didn't it come in a -S? It's getting a makeover anyhow.
NSX
We had one for a year or two back in 95-97. It needs to come back

RL is a good car to buy used, if you just want a nice high quality luxury car that's made in japan, but dont care about dated styling, FWD, and performance that never even was competetive.
CL is dropped, due to poor sales. but i like mine regardless. New TL is awesome but would be better with AWD (rumored to be coming soon), no type-S as it already has more HP than the TL-S. but unfortunatly like on the new AV6, the headers are welded on. and on the old CL/TL, headers alone make a 30whp gain. also not good news for those that like turbo kits.
The Element definatly needs to loose the plastic ****. umm, yea, that's enough of a rant for now.

When I test drove an 03 Si earlier this week I was looking at a brochure of the 2004 S2000, and a hardtop is an option, but it doesn't come standard. Anyways, I say that Honda brings back the Prelude and makes all Prelude models rear wheel drive, as well as the Civic Si, Civic Type R (even if it doesn't reach American shores I'd like to see it FR in japan) and the Acura RSX also.

why take out the models of Civic, it is the best selling car of theirs. They apparently have sold the variety to keep all of the 6 models (hx, dx, lx, ex, si, hybrid)
