Making money sucks, spending it is fun.
Spend the cash on your ride & enjoy what you worked for, a custom vehicle becomes part of the family. & it doesn't talk back when you are pissed off, it just looks pretty & goes fast for your entertainment.
We spend all this money on our cars to make them unique & individual and so we can enjoy our initial investment in buying the car even more. In that way it keeps the car "new" - kinda like how old people get plastic surgery to look better to their friends, we spend the bucks on our cars to seperate ourselves from all the other "what an economical car" type of civic buyers.
I am in the process of spending many thousands on only performance stuff because I like to enjoy my drive & and grin when I pass someone in something shiney that they paid too much for!

Rep Power: 0 I have ~$3,200 in parts in my 2K1, but no mods since last fall because that's when Big Daddy's son started college 
I told him that I would be glad to pay for his education, but if he dropped out of school I was buying an Evo VIII and he would never be allowed to drive it 
This summer he is going to buy a 1.8 turbo GTI, so our 5th generation Civic hatch will be coming back to live with me full time. Any spare dollars I get will go toward an Integra Type-R LSD tranny and a H-u-u-u-u-g-e load of nitrous oxide for that car

as of now........a little over $10,000 for turbo, coilovers, SS, ICE. bodykit, CF hood......and this doesn't include installation of bodykit and hood.
This summer is coming clutch, wrapped seats and more suspension mods. So about another 2-3 grand.
