I'm ready to tint out my 03 civic ex, but I can't decide what to go for. One second I'll think the silver to black fade looks hot, then I change my mind and want to go all black. Or all silver...
Anyone who has a satin silver civic who's happy with their tint let me know. What do you have?

^yup. The fade just doesn't look right. I think it looks too "wannabe" and cheap. (Think: Kid In Play.)
Going with a steady darkness tint all around looks much nicer, in my opinion.

Exactly what he said except there is too much of a contrast if you go 5% to 35% I went 15% on the back and 35% on the front with the glare strip and it looks just fine...

i saw a really clean black-green fade on a 6th gen civic.. the civic itself was really clean.. it just had to lose the fast and the furious aluminum wing

yah you cant go wrong with black, if you keep changing your mind all the time i dont think getting the fade would be such a good idea later on down the road you'll probably get sick of it.
i went 5% all around, i thought about doing the windshield 5% but i didn't wannna **** off the cops. Also i found out it is hard and scary backing up with my limo tint on the back, i can barely see out the back at night. anyone else have this problem?
i got 15% on my car, i had 5% on my civic before and double 5% on my truck all over. It's hella dark at night but your eyes get used to it. Mines did and i still could see out a night but it's just kinda faint (dark) hehe. It's just tickets in hawaii cost a lot... 97 dollars PER window so meaning i have 5 windows it's 97x5. WOO HOO no get caught. OH yeah and ALL BLACK. That's what i got on my civic right now. Charcol Black.
15% (cars kinda dirty so... windows little bit darker?? and overcast too... no sunlight)

I'll go with the general consensus here and go all black. Does anyone know what's legal in NJ? I've always heard that anything is legal for the back windows but the passenger and front windows no tint is legal at all.

are you going for style or function?
i've seen silver civics with light blue tint, it looks good. it doesn't keep people from looking in your car though, it's more "colored" than it is "shading."
you shouldn't pay more than $100 for a profesional job. (coupe, add $25 for 4 door)

I doubt you will find a quality tint job for $100 unless you are just getting the back window and back quarters done. I was quoted $120-150 for my coupe from 4 diff places around town and even the cheapo one was $120. That didn't include the moon roof either.
I vote for black - fade and sparkles are totally ghetto.
If you want some style, do a design in layers. Just no flames please, so played out.
