New Celicas vs. New Civics

As if it were even possible, the Celica has an even worse front end suspension than the '01 to '03 vics. The '04 Vic has the new struts which are nice...I have them in my ride right now..
I can't give a real opinion as I've never owned a new Celica but I know a couple of people that wish they didn't and one that's trading up for a 2004 Vic.

i have driven my friends Celica's before...and i dont like them too much except for the seats....
as small as the civic's are inside, the celica's are a lot worse....no leg room in the front or back. everything inside is too compact for me.
they got like 140 hp...doesnt feel much different from the civic. Unless your talking about the GTS.
The exterior is too "girly" IMO. I like the exterior of the Civic's smooth style.

I have driven both. I would choose celica unless you need or like a more roomy interior or If you are tall like 6 foot or up the backseat behind you will be useless. There will be literaly no leg room. In terms of performance the celica was better. Oh and the '03s and new can come with HID headlights and those are awesome. really bright and white.

i have driven gt and gts and they are not worth the extra cash youll be droppin, for same price, get a celica, obviously, but when i was lookin they were like 4 or 5 grand more, and there definitely not worth that. the engne in the gt is barely faster, the suspension, seats, and sound are better in the celica though, still not worth the money
take that extra money and put it into your civic, its enough for a ton of ****, turbo, i/h/e, etc....... not to mention if you get a celica, youll be spending a crap load on making it a car people look at cuz its cool and not to see a hot girl drivin it

How about a third option? Acura RSX!!!
Caffeinated & Decaffeinated versions (Type S & regular RSX).
Either choice of RSX's, both have a stronger rated output compared to Celica or the GTS version.
$$$ for $$$ RSX is better value. ABS is optional on Celica's and unless you get the GTS, you'll have rear drum brakes... if that's of any importance to ya!

i use to think celicas look good when they first came out but now i think they are uglee......i dont see much on the road where i'm at....i would rather get a VIC or a RSX.....gurls seem to love RSX's around here
I'd have to go with the civic over the celica as an everyday ride. More room in the civic and a little bit better gas mileage. If you spend a litle more and are still looking for a small sporty coupe I'd recommend the RSX-S. They are more, but if you shop around at different dealershipos you can probably find a good deal.
if it's between the vic and the Acura type-s....get the type-s. Much faster, suspention is better and it's just all around a better car...but you will pay for it too so it's all a matter of what you wan't and what you are willing to pay for it.
My wife doesn't want a manual, so it will have to be an automatic. Does that change anyones mind on what they would get? Plus a family member works at Toyota so I may be able to get it cheaper then retail.
