I see a lot of people driving them because I live in a college town. They are presents for so many students from their parents, I can't even count the number of Silver Sedans in my town. The cars are also cheap enough that college studnts can afford them on their own too, and that accounts for many of them.

Hey now, I love that movie. To be honest, yes that is what made me want to sell my F-150 and get an import. I chose the Civic because of it's reliability, high resale value, incredible gas mileage(compared to the 10mpg I was gettin in the truck), and yes, the mass amounts of aftermarket parts available to make it a little faster for not much money and time. I was stupid, but now I am a Honda/Acura lover for life. Bandwagoner...maybe, but now I'm a true fan. So yes the Fast and the Furious made people stupid, but it also made people like me...true enthusiasts, not ricers. End rant. lol

ditto, although some people did take it to a new and stupid level. Yes I'm a ricer, but that's only because I'm a broke enthusiast.

Most people with a civic just get it as a good economy car and don't do anything to it. Alot of times it's bought as a family car. Oh and I have to disagree with the gas mileage being good. I only get 22mpg, which is less than even my 87 Jetta used to get.

something must be wrong for you to get that kind of mileage, my old 95 civic EX got on average of 38-40mpg.. and my 2002 EX cpe w/17" wheels averages around 40mpg.. & i rarely use the highways, usually 40mph back-roads.

yeah I feel you guys it's just the movie made people dumb in the sense of what they saw and heard in that movie. I get tired of people refering to nitrous and calling it NOS, and people who put on a muffler and drive around like they're in the movie.

Just the other day I saw a new eclipse race me off the line from a light, even though I didn't even look at him. They drive like they're in the movie. Stupid!
