I dont think it will look anythig like the cav we have now, cause it said something about a long chrome piece in front and its based on the delta - I dont think it will look particularly like the one above either

First news topic at the bottom of the screen:
"GM recalls 783,000 cars to replace hazard switch"
GM needs to quit worrying about boosting the car and get it's crash test results up to par. The Cavalier and Sunfire have poor CT results.

Domestic attempt to take on US!! I will never understand why people buy these cars to get into the "import/tuner" market. If you want a import BUY ONE!! DONT BUY a domestic version!

The knee-yawn, this gayvaleer, all compete in the Sport Compact car devision, which is then devided into import and domestic. And you know what, hate to say it, the domestic companys are building faster cars for cheaper than the import companies. A SRT-4 will whoop a WRX and keep up with a Evolution for $5k - $10k less.
Its your personal preferance which one you think is cooler, but the SRT-4 stock is a rocket, and import companys can't figure out the formula Dodge has. IMO Import companys better get their act together if they don't want to loose the segment they've dominated.

I'll gladly give up some 0-60mph performance for quality. As a matter of fact, I did...I bought a civic.
And that much power in a FWD neon will only result in
a. it being drag-raced
or
b. young drivers wrapping it around a tree showing off or street racing.
Speaking from experience in having high powered FWD cars before(v8 sho particularly), they're not as easy to control in extreme situations than AWD or RWD. I'd give them more respect if they'd made it AWD.
And the reason it "will whoop a WRX and keep up with a Evolution for $5k - $10k less" is because it's a fkin NEON. 'nuff said. You get what you pay for.

Sure Neons used to be crap, my mom had a 94, it was a piece. But my friend who's worked on my moms car, and worked on the newer neons (routine maintince, nuthing major, has said the overall build quality, quality of the parts, fit and finish, has improved amazingly. Every company gets their act together. Can't make money if you make crappy cars.
Look at hyundai, they've improved dramaticly from the 80's, they still aren't great, but they're getting there.
There is no way you can say the SRT-4 will fall apart, because it hasn't been around long enough to fall apart. And you know what, i doubt it will.

FWD turbo is a bit of a liability in the corners. Especially with out an LSD. Ive heard that racing a FWD Trubo car on a road course or autocross, may very well be the hardest thing to do, there's all sorts of extra things that you need to do to keep the turbo spooled, or keping the front wheels from spinning coming out of a corner. .....

i saw a report on some car site that there was a recall, i dont think it was anything huge though... but i think this new cobalt could possibly be sick, especially that SS that's gonna be N/A 220.... i bet it'll pull us over and over again
