correction the current M3 will lose and not by much. I think the soon to come V8 M3 will put up a good fight, if not win.

I'm pretty sure the V8 M3 will own the is430.. I mean they wouldn't change the M3 and put in a new engine to only gain maybe .2 seconds on the 0-60 (4.7 vs the IS's 4.5) (correct me if im wrong). Well the IS430 i guess will win in top speed, since bimmers are governed/regulated to 155
the IS looks nice though..

I would get excited about it EXCEPT that thread was started in 2001 and the newest post in it is 8 months old so I think that's a dead horse.

if you read the dyno sheet on the hood, you will see that it IS a german car. i mean its a japanese car, but the germans modded it, so its german now. lol so i doubt that its even being considered for production since toyota isnt responcible for the mods.

it is said that the sticker price should be around $45K which would be the same thing as an M3 but i highly doubt that

Bigger the better.
Viper Race Cars (the Lemans ones) have 8 pot calipers on 16" discs. You can never have enough stopping power.
