[Attention RX8 sales staff]
Hey look at the bright side. Maybe because they "over-rated" the horsepower the rest of the car's drivetrain is now "over durable". Meaning it can now (maybe) withstand more driver abuse.

Can yall imagine if our civics were actually less than 127hp?
Though it would still be the same power we have been driving it at, thinking of it below 127 would make me sad. its so slow already.
Glad my intake adds 15-20 hp. It really helped!

Not really as big a deal as everyone is making it out to be. Happens all the time to various automakers, Ford and Hyundai come to mind, and has even affected Mazda in the past. Remember the Miata fiasco? Fortunately, (or, unfortunately, considering how little power our D17s are actually making
), Honda has a reputation of underrating their HP. Or at least not overstating it.

Man, I swear... how can people still think that "my VTEC sticker adds 35 horsepower" joke still be funny? Its been beaten to the ground... jesus christ. I mean, its been used atleast a couple hundred times over the past year on this forums. Infact, I challenge someone to find all the references to that joke over the course of this forum's life span.

HP per Liter of disp. YES
But then, Mazda's rotaries have always been known for that.
Just don't expect any low-end torque from either.
its kinda off topic about the RX-8 power but i saw on the news in my area a guy was goin aleast 100 or faster in a rx-8 and tired to take a sharp cuve and hit the middle guard wall and flipped over to the on coming traffic side and hitted a audi insteadly killing hte people in it....the whole roof of the audi was ripped off

same thing happened with the ford mustang cobra back in '99... now they under-rated the '03 cobra at 390 hp, more like 385 to the wheels.
i put in some high performance power-steering fluid, added at least 20 hp. and my balding stock tires are like slicks!
