Aren't these cars built to order?
I mean, I think when you purchase one, you're put on a list, and I THINK you have the purchase the car then. . . and take delivery some time much later. I think what's going on is this dood is catering to the rich who now want an Enzo, but don't want to wait months to get one.
And with a limited production number, it's VERY possible that they're all spoken for, already. Meaning they're impossible to get unless you buy one from a current owner. With such a short supply on an incredible car, it was bound to create this kind of aftermarket immediately following its release.
It's all about supply and demand.

I thought that you needed to be a premium Ferrari owner (someone that has purchased a few) to be eligible to even be put on the list for one...
Quite surprising how the seller could even get his hands on one...

There's only something like 230 Enzo's that have been hand made and they were all spoken for before Ferarri even finished making them.
Guaranted this guy will sell the car for way more then what it's worth to some filthy rich bastard.

that is mest up, but 3 people so far really want that car at that price. I would love to have that car but I read in car and driver that the maintaince on it is expensive as hell, It is something like 60 for 1 quart of oil, and 650 just for brake pads, That sucks.
i thought you couldn't even purchase them. they were all technically owned by ferrari and kinda leased out to people. either way i think it's a waste of money for a car like that. there are faster cars for less of a sticker price.
you don't get a car like that just for speed. its a status and exclusivity thing. people that could buy 100 enzos were rejected from being able to buy one. my car is faster in a straight line but at the end of it hes in an ENZO and im still in a toyota.
399 Enzos worldwide, I think only 88 or so in the US. You actually DO purchase the car (the F50 was on a lease type of deal). And you have to be a preferred customer, as it was for the F50 as well. I guess that means if any of us win the lotto tomorrow, we still can't get one direct from Ferrari
A guy here in town has one, but he has ALL sorts of cars. He owns a Marine business, but I wonder if he has really done that well from the business, or if family money is involved.
As far as Ferraris go, I've seen him in the following:
F40
F50
Enzo
360 Spyder
F355
And I've heard him mention owning a 288GTO.
I saw him driving a Viper GTS on a rainy day, he bought a WRX out to the track day once, and decided it was a nice car to give his 16yr old son. I've also seen him at the track day in both a Lotus Elise Exige, a Motorsport Elise, and a Super7. I'd love to just see his collection all in one place at one time

The Enzo is an awesome car, but not worth the price. You can get an F1 for that price and kill it any day. The F1 goes for about a mil and will do 245, as opposed to the 215 claimed by the Enzo.
