Car Under 20k?

Im looking to buy another car and I was wondering what you guys think I should look into. Im on a budget for a car under 20k, prefferably an Import, but one that has a decent amount of power. Thanks for any feedback.

I'd rather have the $20000 that's sitting on top of the car! lease:

Silver's got a good list there. #2s my liking, but I'd go for a little more and go for a WRX.

If you're hovering around the $20,000 mark. . . I'd add just a few grand to that and go for the RSX-S. The WRX is around $24-26K. . . but I'd take one of them, any day!

the 04 SE-R lost everything i thought was desirable on it. the red numbered gauges with the cool number layout, the cool seats, the stereo, wheels, and of course the styling. i dont want one anymore.

whats your idea of decent power?

^^^ Not the base accord coupe. Your thinking the 6spd coupe. Id go with the SI or another 7th gen. You could engine swap your first 7th with the extra money you saved.

I have to agree with Gotti.... SRT-4 if you are getting something brand new. Or if you want to stick with an import, I would grab a one year old WRX with about 20,000 miles on it.

I would say the srt-4 is the fastest car under $20,000, but I would go with the WRX STi but that is a little more then $20 grand more like $30 but 300 hp aint bad.....

get an 02 si....it'll be cheaper since the 03's are tryin to move off the lot...and the 04's are right around the corner. you'll get a great deal and def. stay under 20k. theyre also so much fun to drive.

whatever you save, put towards a TURBO

Pass... too much.

04s are out now, with the restyling. That car is now effectively a 3yr old car since the 02s came out in early 01.

FWIW, I sold my immaculate 02 Wagon (bought June 01) with 14k for 19000 back in January. Now the wagon is a bit cheaper than a sedan (~500 bucks or so).

My wagon had a short throw, the sedan's rear sway bar, MP3 player, K&N, catless up-pipe. Not really modded, just little things that made the car that much more enjoyable.

And at the time I sold mine, news of the restyled 04s wasn't out, much less could you get one.

Also, remember, its a modded car, so technically its worth less.

Check out NASIOC for decent selections of WRXs...
