traded in civic for ion
i always hated saturn, but i wrecked my civic and you cant compete with 0% financing on one. the only thing i have to say about the car is
that thing coming from the factory would have blown the doors off of my civic. i had i/h/e and pulleys on the civic, but the ion is definately much faster. the only problem i have is it is kinda ugly and im not sure about the tranny on it yet.

I'm getting mine at or below MSRP in about 6-8 weeks.
Caution on the STi, though. . . if you have moderate to high insurance, already. . . the STi will only make that worse. Being OLD, myself. . . I don't have to worry, much.

man good luck with that car
my friend ran 13.7 just with exhaust ... lol
hey guys... just wanted to share my $0.02. Most of you prob don't know that I don't even own a Civic... I've been on/off about buying one, forever tho. I have at least test driven one so I know what they're all about.
ANYWHO..... My older bro just got an ION, he has three kids already, and he just needed a decent car on a budget, as his Jetta's pushin like 180k miles. He just bought a Ion Sedan. Let me tell ya, I thought he was a fool when I heard that's what he got...but he's always liked his Saturns for some reason, so naturally he got this. Well, I took it for a test drive... man was I ever impressed!! Build quality was flawless, granted it was brand new, but still. The car was EXTREMELY solid, felt like you could've been in a car twice it's size. I obviously didn't go all out in my bro's new ride as far as cornering, but I did see what it was pushing... Lets not kid ourselves, we ALL know that the Saturn isn't a 1/4 mile king(except maybe the Ion Redline?) But the engine is remarkably smooth and responsive... MUCH more so than a Civic. The shifter feel was almost just as good as the Civic too. I dunno, I mean, I don't blame you guys for not liking them, I mean, it's a Saturn.... but it's simply not as bad as you all make it out to be. Very solid car at a damn cheap price! I know you guys never would "waste your time," but I bet many of you would be REALLY surprised how nice they are if you test drove one!
BTW, I don't like the wheels either... but come on, what % of ppl here kept their stock Civic wheels?

Yes I don't really like to base what I purchase on what C&D says. The reason why the Focus is there is cause they rate the car new and not on how well it does after some time. I have driven the Focus off the lot and they drive pretty good. Good acceleration and handling, I almost bought one, but with a little research I found out that they are not reliable in the long run.
one i seen was on tv, the other was the mag, but they were talking about the styling and other items of the car, the only thing they talked good about was the motor
ill see if i can find a link

don't worry about the link... I believe you...
i dunno about the other things, but styling? what does it matter if a review likes the friggen styling or not?! isn't it up to the potential buyer whether or not they like the styling? I like the styling... does that mean that either the reviewer or myself are lying?

i take that back
"Highs: Composed chassis, friendly dealers, sweet stereo.
Lows: Pigheaded transmission, anxious steering, bar-stool seating, muddled styling, cyclopean dash.
The Verdict: We waited seven years for this?"
