wow this thing is amazing.
my friend went to chicago this weekend and picked up his new car. a 1993 Rx7 r1.
bad *** car. it has veil side 2 bodykit and is red with the tan interior. what should his first mod be we are constantly bickering over what her should do. we only agreed on one thing a louder BOV.

Single turbo would still cause overheating problems. It's the damn apex seal in the rotarty motor, that little seal is the same as our head gaskets, once it blows you're toast. I would invest in a new rad and intercooler to keep the temps down, but sweet ride

yes it is twin turbo and yes he is going to a single turbo setup in the future. he is going to do front mount intercooler and everything at the same time in about 30,000 miles so next year.

tell him to join www.rx7club.com
I would hope for a swap kit to come out so he can switch to the new rotary.
But those cars are absolutely crazy. I would upgrade the cooling setup and check the engine top to bottom for problems.

OMG. . . . going to have a "pissing contest" with other cars?
Forget the BOV. . . if it's got one that works, just leave it alone.

Okay, in that case, the louder the better!

BOV is a blow off valve. it opens and lets air excape when you shift gears it keeps the turbo from completly despooling (couldnt think of a better word) if you just run a search you will find a better description than what i can give you but this is the basics
