I don't believe anything the dealer says until they already have it in stock. Talking to the dealership about a future car that's supposed to arrive (i.e. Type R) is like talking to the guy who beat a Z06 in his 7thGenCivic with no proof of mods or dynocharts.

the new civics are hitting the street at october. they will have the k20s, but boosted to about 197 at crank. the aero kit is just like the type r, but no lsd. they will be priced at about 22000, for the first 6 months if sales continue they will decrease price. the reeason for hp upgrade?...simple, si's have not been selling well this year. why get a 21000 hatchback with only 160 hp, while the focus svt, rsx-s, and dodge srt4 bring more for about same price...
but also keep an eye for the new crx's standard 18's hatch stlye buit with the 160 k2o power in it. in spring/summer 05
how do i know this..simple yet again. y friend is the honda dealership manager in chi town. hes already riding around with the demo 04 si.

lease:BS. If your friend really has a 04, take some pics and show us. Info on the new 04s have not really been released. We might see a factory lip kit and 16 inch wheels, but not a turbo. The SIs MSRP is close to $19,500 not $21,000. Your post doesn't make since. Why would Honda take the SI, add boost, and a few other things to go with it, and sell the car for only $1,000 more? And if this is true, than the RSX type S will not be in production much longer. Who is going to buy it for $23,000 when they can get a factory boosted SI for $22,000. I do not believe you one bit. Since your "friend" already is riding around in one, don't you think more people that you and your "friend" would know? Don't you think it would be all over Hondas website? Nice try, but no cigar.
Oh and about the CRX, I'm assuming your talking about the photoshop someone did a while back on the insight. Its not going to happen. Period.

And now I think he is talking about the CTR.
Which all of us know it is not going to happen. Show us pics of your "friend's" ride. If you CAN provide pics to prove it, I WILL go to Honda first thing tomorrow and put a deposit down and order one. Prove me wrong.

its the S2200, more torque, lower redline, different gears(1-4 are lower), available in coupe or convertible. and honda IS bringing the CTR over, within the next 2 years or so. thats all i know about teh CTR so far. it should be like the euro CTR. and the RSX type-R should be over here about the same time, should be like the japanese ITR.

who knows..
2 years from now, I was test driving a RSX-S at the dealership and they told me that in 2 years the Type R will be here...
2 years have past...and nothing has came....lol
and when i bought my civic (2 years ago), i asked the same question and they said 2 years too...
I figured out that dealerships don't know much about these things...
