got to get rid of the civic, peoples are constantly trying to race for some odd reason, and its pssing me off. need a little bit more without sacrificing warranty.

I have a hard time buying a new car, especially the first version of a new generation.. but thats just me. I like to wait a year or two for the bugs to get somewhat worked out.
Buy.
But if you're getting rid of the Civic because people are trying to race you, what do you think is gonna happen in the EVO? Or a WRX for that fact, too. Any kinda import car you get that's modded/turboed you're bound to have someone trying to race you. So if you're trying to get a car that people won't race you in, get something like a Ford Fuckus.....oops....I meant Focus. lol

sorry been at work most of the day,
yeah EVO is very EVIL....
i have the money to pay it off-- 350/ month/60 months at 2.5 apr and the insurance does think its a oz rally edition so they says it will only be 250 full coverage, every 6 months.
aftermarke parts are very ample, thats for sure, enough parts to boost out and reach minimum of 450 bhp
the reason why i want EVO instead of the civic, is to atleast make these little ricers become very afraid when i roll around...
cus then ill really have something to play around with.

hey bro.... unless you ar like 40, theres NO WAY you will insure an evo for $250... maybe $180-200 a MONTH... and insurance will find out when you give them vin #.... no way out of that... my insurance wants $200 a mointh afor a WRX, and they're cheaper than Evos to insure, and im 26, own a house, and have GREAT driving reacord..

. I don't know about the evo I would either go for the wrx or sti.

I agree...first off, go for the WRX sti....i think you will be way happier...secondly the fact that mitsu doesn't last and there is always a prob is a big deal...my buddy dumped 20g's into his 4g63, he got alittle over 400whp awd and that thing never ran....everyday he had a problem...for a clean *** ride and nice hp to back it up...go with the WRX sti..
you should spend your money on king cobra malt liquor and on hookers the rest you can waste on the evo it's just an overpriced jap hot rod---go with the wrx sti---they can smoke the evo my friend's sure does
get the evo or the STi....the insurance on the STi will probably be more though since like everyones saying it will show up as a Lancer OZ rally. But if i had the money....i would...so go for it. And if anyone wants to race you then you know you can beat them with that instead of a civic
So, what happens after say 6mos or a year and the insurance company finds out that the Lancer Evo is really an Evo and that it commands a higher premium... ?
Happened with the WRX. People I knew had it show up as Impreza L on the insurance, with a nice low rate. Then a year later, a bunch of my buddies had to deal with insurance that about doubled... I got lucky, since mine was a wagon. No hike.
Just something to think about. You can fool some of the people some of the time...
