Yes i understand that not, being ignorant, its just that when you think of neon, you think of well a #$% dodge neon, i don't know about canada but here in the US its a chicks cars, i have yet to seen one hooked up that looks even reasonable, i did see the new srt-4 on the street and yes it looks a lot better then the old one but the face lift is small compared to the 7thgen (by the way you should see the new face lift on the 04 civic sick as hell)i am not bagging on nothin just letting people know my view, take it easy my friend, maybe you should get yourself one and be in the dodge club instead

Rep Power: 0 I dont buy a car just because of its 0-60 time and neither do any of the people on this site or else the wounldnt have bought a vic. Neons, IMO, have always looked trashy no matter what you do to them.

no, i want a fast car.... but there was nothing very fast in my price range at the time. I didnt want a used car, and 22k+ for a WRX, Mustang GT or RSX-S wasnt in my budget. Like i stated before, if the SRT was out when i bought my vic, i woulda got the SRT.

Rep Power: 0 Lots of domestics are steeping up the quality and reliabilty over the last couple years. I wouldn't hesitate to get one based on reliability. They've had a turboed neon for a few years now as one of their concept cars so I'm sure they've learnt a lot about the reliability of the car especially the motor. As far as a recall, they should ahve done tons of recalls for the 2001 civic. Lots of stupid zhit

Rep Power: 0 Having owned a variety of cars in all price ranges over the last 4 years, my attitude is that when I choose a fast car, it will also be a nice car.
I don't deny that the SRT will spank most cars on the road, and at 20k its a bargain. But for me, I'd rather just save up for a nicer car that is as fast (or faster!), yet also more upscale.
Of course, I drive a Civic and I chose it not because it looks pretty, but because of its reputation for reliability. For me, its basic transportation. Before the Civic I owned a WRX. It was quick for its price, but to me the car felt very cheap. Now before you go off saying that the Civic is a cheap car, my Civic is more rattle free and the quality of the interior panels is nicer than that of the WRX. The doors in the Civic close with a solid thunk, vs the WRX's windows rattleing when you close its doors.

Oh and BTW "Phanibal" the 04 civic 'face lift' looks like *** (if infact that image was even real).. All they did was put Camry headlights on it. If you ask me.. the best looking part of 7th gens are the headlights. Now all you haters go on and keep calling an SRT-4 a neon..

I mean, I love my civic and I think Honda is great but come on. I say: Give credit where credit is due. "Oh it's ugly. I think it's a girl's car." It seems like you're reaching here.

Rep Power: 0 Well "assclown," I don't understand why people need faster cars. I drive an even faster cars than this SRT, and I still don't see what the big deal is. I don't drive it fast, don't care to. I will never use all of its power. Again, I don't care to. I like what I like. If you don't like the fact that I don't like the SRT, that's your problem assclown. Dodge makes great cars, I loved the Stealth and the Viper. I even like their trucks. I never did like the Neon, the SRT, or whatever you want to call it kid. It has nothing to do with having brains.
