Something about that RSX seems very fishy. I know its turbo'd since you can hear it, hear the BOV and see the FMIC. But if you watch the speedo it doesn't accerlate like a car that has close to 400 hp. Something just tells me there closer to 8 psi rather than 20psi.

Got boost you have a point. It does feel like it acclerating real slowly. Ive seen stock type S move faster on the speedo than that
theres no arguing that its faster than a stock type-S but take a 200 hp engine and add 20 psi and you should get a car that has all kinds of traction problems, and when it does find traction it takes off. This RSX didn't have much of a problem with traction and didn't pull that hard at speed. Like i said theres no question that its boosted but what im questioning is the 20 psi and 373 hp and 296 ft-lbs numbers they gave out.

the boost in this topic is turbo (but theres also superchargers and n2o)
in a regular car, the exhaust gases go straight out to the muffler and out the car... in a turboed car, the exhaust gases first pass through and power the fan in the turbo which then pushes extra air into the engine through the intake (hence the term forced induction) ... more air requires more fuel (upgrade of the fuel system)... so in conclusion lots of air + lots of fuel = lots of hp
thats the general idea...

i just saw the video and i do agree that it seems kinda slow for 20psi... i would think 20psi is crazy boost
maybe its a base and not a type-s?
but damn that is one LOUD bov

Ok, to all you haters, and being 7thGenCivic, theres a LOT, he really has 20 psi of boost. This guy is in my car club here in Atlanta. He sent the car to CyberNation is FL to have the work done. The car is peaking at @20 psi. It has a complete Custom turbo kit. The whole bottom end is forged. In about a year, he will have a bulletproof block that will withstand 50 psi. I dont know the specifics of the setup (what FMI, what BOV, what size turbo...) cause I havent spoke with him since he got it back. Yes its a Type-S. Im not sure if he was hitting 20 psi in the vid or not. I will ask when I see him.
Oh and BTW, stop hating. He could have beat you in your pidly EX without the turbo. The D17 is a waste of time to build up. It like seeing a 95 hatch with a turboed D15. All you can say is "Why!!!" I have a intake and Exh on mine solely for the show factor. Not likes it actually gonna go fast without a swap.
